Forcing solo players to play with a rude, arrogant teenager and having to use a mic to get the exotic class items is the dumbest decision Bungie's ever made. It's painfully obvious they don't like players to have fun by the way they continue to nerf good things into the ground. Hey, let's make it so voidwalkers can't get their vortex grenades back quickly anymore! Let's nerf Firepower, Innervation, Kickstart and Contraverse Hold! They're trying to have fun in PVE?? Yeah, I don't think so.
Now this stupid mandatory two player nonsense to get a class item? Been nice, Bungie, but I've had enough! See ya!

I have been playing since the beginning of Destiny and this is pretty much next level of screwing with solo players. I use to be in a large clan but they split up and now finding people you get along with is just plain hard. I guess it’s time to give up and go back to WoW at least they like solo play.

I tried that mission yesterday with my co-worker who has been out of Destiny for several years. We still have to finish but there is no effing way I would do this mission with some jerk. It requires a lot of talking and some ahole won’t talk down to me because it is good at this game but sucks at life. I can hang but I don’t need a stress after work. The mission is well done , just wish it would a solo experience, no lie.

I said the same thing a while back and got nerfed into the ground Bungie style. There's so many salty players in this game. Seems like no one can express their opinion without some -blam!- emptying their elite salty frustration on others.

2 RepliesThis would have been an amazing feature 4 years ago when 90% of the community weren't jerks.I've tried the exotic mission a handful of times and every time I lfg it everyone one I end up with doesn't talk, immediately leaves after I've said I've never completed it before or cries when we wipe and blame me when it's not even my fault. The community is just mainly filled with a bunch of jerks that expect everyone to have every day 1 raid emblem with 1k+ completions of every raid just to do a simple mission.

'Bungie hates solo players' always has, always will

I will run this with you. I sherpa people through raids and dungeons. I will be streaming helps on Twitch Friday evening, Saturday afternoon and Sunday afternoon, just hop into my twitch chat and say you need to clear Destiny Duality for the first time, we will priortize your run next. This mission is some of the best content Bungie has produced in a while, it's great, and everyone should be able to enjoy it. My Twitch is the same as my Bungie name. I'm here to help, not self-promote, I stream the same helps everytime for 20 or 200 viewers.

Edited by Scourged One: 6/27/2024 9:44:11 PMNo they don't. They've done quite a lot to cater to solos in what is and was designed as a team-based, always-online FPS. The game wasn't designed for solos on the whole, and it's always going to show. I know, you'd feel better if you could be a victim of determined, targeted disregard. You aren't. You're choosing to limit yourself. Quit crying about it.

Cry about it

100% of the game has been solo'd. Bungie does not hate solo players. You just don't want to play with others in a multiplayer game.

Agreed so much

The players are a necessary evil for Bungie.

Edited by The Hermit IX: 6/28/2024 3:05:42 PMIt’s a multi player game so certain things have to be done with others. Watch videos so you understand how the encounters and mechanics work and have a solid load out/build. Ask a friend, clan mate, use lfg or discord and run it. One bad experience with a bratty kid isn’t anyone’s fault. I’m a solo player and I ran it last weekend and have been farming exotic bonds since. Be prepared, listen to what you’re being told and do your best. Be prepared and make the effort and you’ll have it done this weekend.

This game is literally advertised as a multiplayer game and it always has been since destiny 1. Playing solo is like paying $80 for the newest call of duty or halo game and only playing the campaign and never touching multiplayer, you're not getting the whole experience and you're hindering yourself from having fun I completely understand the whole solo thing sometimes, maybe you just wanna do your own thing or none of your friends are available, but just use the fireteam finder or a looking for group post on Xbox or even a discord server
Forcing solo players to play with a rude, arrogant teenager and having to use a mic to get the exotic class items
Right...

If you play solo you are playing the wrong game , D2 is built for freinds and possible freinds to play together Playing solo in Destiny is like playing baseball in the NFL
