Been seeing everyone freak out about the Winnower speaking to us in the Nacre ship lore. Making notes about the tonal difference between the Witnezs and Winnower.
To me, the Winnower has this playful banter, kind of reminds me of the Joker. The witness very straight forward and does not ramble on.
In the shadowkeep campaign where we see ourselves in the Black Garden, that character has to be the Winnower. The playful tone, the structure of the way they speak, and the inflections in their dialogue, is polar opposite to the way the Witness ever spoke to us.
It also lines up to me that the Winnower appeared as us - showing us that we are just as much a soldier of the light as we are the dark, that we follow its logic just as much as we follow the gardeners - similar to what was said in the Nacre lore.
Idk, not a big lore master I just like to watch Byf and Myelin, but I’ve not heard either make this connection. Any thoughts, confirmations, or denials to this opinion?
end cutscene of FS he says "You are not worthy of Salvation", following up on that comment
Witness used the darkness, but he did not create it , he thought he could save us like he "Saved" his species from a lack of purpose , he thought he was talking to his new Disciple, oh was he mistaken
