Dynasty Lore Book - Act 1 Chapter 1

Bungie, it is safe to say you caught my attention with the new lore book that we received after the end of Echoes Act 1. For those who want to read the lore book themselves after completing the story mission, I will put my thoughts on it under spoilers.
I was not at all expecting a lore entry about the Qugu. The only entry we've had about the race for the longest time was from the Books of Sorrow, where their extinction by the Hive was detailed. Then, over seven years later in Lightfall, we saw the viewpoint of a Qugu in the Inspiral lore books, which revealed them to be a race with a natural attunement to Darkness which was omitted from the Books of Sorrow. Now, we have what looks like a new lore book dedicated to the Qugu, and the viewpoint of one Te'Qal. We see what looks like how the Qugu viewed the memories of their ancestors, which gives us a look into their life cycles and how their society developed over the course of generations. All of it leading up to Te'Qal's first encounter with the Hive. We see how the Qugu's War-pearls fight in battle and how they're commanded, but they are forced into retreat, and towards an inevitable extinction we know has already passed. I enjoyed this entry because it gives us a deeper look into the Qugu and their last days. It is nice to see one of the races from the Books of Sorrow lore book fleshed out, as it helps grow the history and the world of Destiny's setting. One thing I am curious about, however, is why we are getting this entry about the Qugu, from Te'Qal's perspective, now. It is an Episode about the Vex and our first encounter with the Echoes, as well as the Conductor, who it is safe to say is Maya Sundaresh. NOTE: Also, if I didn't like her before from Veil Containment, I despise her even more for what she put Saint through. But the lore tab from the Spectrum Shell indicates that the Conductor has an ally. An ally with an "astounding variance in biology and culture". It is purely speculation, and I am likely wrong, but I would be blown away if it turns out the Conductor's ally is Te'Qal, and just as Maya Sundaresh seeks to "restore" the Golden Age, Te'Qal might also want to use the Echo to revive the Qugu. It is far-out-there speculation, but that could be the "ancient secrets of lost civilization" that the Journey Ahead video said we would find on Nessus - the Qugu civilization. This is just off-the-cuff speculation based on one chapter out of three, so don't take it as a solid prediction. Either way, I am looking forward to seeing how the rest of the lore book plays out. It makes for great reading.
We don't know who the conductor is... When I talked about the symphony in the series, "Secrets". I talked about the specificity of the distinction, "Osana"... Mara's mother. But also, the name for the final? 4th movement in the composition and an arrangement in a symphony. I am of the same mind however, that Maya... IS. For me, my obsession with the narrative began with Arecibo... in vanilla D2, and the warning now manifested, that we must heed or face oblivion. Maya knew this, and it is why she created the Echo program... it's why she sacrificed herself to the darkness. It's why Chioma never intervened as it was happening. I know it's kinda a mind ****. The Conductor's purpose is to aid us. But, when we meet Maya... she will be corrupted. The setup is the Gardener who will present herself as our ally (as foreshadowed with Luzaka) vs. Maya. Maya is the Madonna. The Gardener IS the "false mother"... the "wolf mother". That has been and still is my theory. I called the Gardener, "The Lady in White"... Oh, I almost forgot... I'm trying to be a little cryptic to avoid spoilers. What do you think about "birb"? Sure the one seemingly connected to the Gardener... Not that one. The one on Mara's shoulder? I'm talking about a people/race imprisoned within the ascendant realm... led by a general I believe you've written about in the lore tab. I'm talking about the perfect axis for the allied faction you reference in your spoiler tag.
