Final Shape/Echoes Endgame is a FLOP
Overall the campaign an excision were good additions
Everything else was a fetch quest(if it even worked properly) -khovostov, fragments, aspects, grenades,melees.
Or forced co-op
Excision gm
Raids(as always so no negative point here.
Dual Destiny
Microcosm
No endgame balance in terms of economy was though about whatsoever with the removal of Shards some items are way to expensive.
Invis glitch present everywhere
Warlocks not getting dbl vanguard xp
Main finisher released on battlepass is still bugged.
Catalyst timegated out of battlepass
Ritual pathfinder horribly designed
Most pinnacles moved to co-op
Shaping weapons at the enclave crashes game.
Timegated visuals linked to battepass popping in and out of the real world.
Farming chest for dual destiny class items boring
Repetitive pinnacle drops of the same armor slot.

Don't forget about all the other bugs that completely remove any fun you might attempt to have. Just try to get ignition for the Pathfinder node on warlock. Doesn't register. Overload swords? Nope. Won't work on a Captain because you can't get two consecutive hits. Then let's talk about sidearm precision kills. How is that going to happen when the game has turned into mass explosions that wipe out entire areas before you can get more than one crit kill. Forerunner? Nope, that's garbage now. The Call? It will work if the bullet gets there before someone blasts the entire area with a melee. I actually put in some time today, but this game lacks any coherent direction anymore. If it's all about ad clear now then why are precision kills even a thing? There is no fun to be had here.

Your pinnacle drops are slot based, which means you don’t have to have every slot on one character be 2000, you can split it apart and still get 2000, what I did for my hunter, hunter has all my gear besides boots went on my warlock and got a 2000 boot drop and since it was only lost left now the game sees me as 2000 overall since my slots are done. Only two weeks of doing end game stuff no raids either. Just dungeons and rituals drops. But yeah easy to level up

6 RepliesPreviously, after completing the campaign on my H on normal, all solo bar a quick diversion into LFG to drop the Witness - the -blam!- mission, then to gain access to that epic 12-man team Finale, I opined that I would not repeat the campaign on my T or W… Well, I soon got bored with PH Patrol missions, once I’d grinded my way to obtain the Exotic Khostov, which, in itself, was glitched to eff! 🧐 Anyhoo, I soon became aware of the Dual mission for the Class item…but had little interest one way or the other…still don’t… Instead, I got back to my usual routine of Dreaming City rotations, ie, Chests in LS (secret ones that require a flask of wizard juice to reveal such…); shiro chu for the first chest and/or weapon levelling-up; then, well before TFS - I’d go get the first chest + 5x spoils wotsits to unlock old Exotics from Raids I never did, eg, Terraba (sp?)…but, since TFS - I don’t bother doing this last bit anymore. Well, that doesn’t take too long to do…so, I thought I’d run the campaign on my T…mostly, and only because, to gain access to PH Patrol missions, that’s what was needed. It was do this or close down the game!? 🤔 So…I took my T for a spin…normally, after completing a campaign on normal mode - to get familiar with stuff, I’d go Legend mode on my next run. Tried that on my T…erm…nah! Back to Normal mode we go…and played through the campaign at my own pace, over a few days. Sidebar: I did do the first Vex mission(s) on my H…but soon lost interest in doing any more of that. And that is as far as I’m going to do - for now. Back to my campaign run on my T: I got as far as the last 3x big missions; I think I’ve completed either one or two of them…but I have zero interest in doing any more…I just can’t muster the energy to repeat that stuff again. This means, apart from pootling around on my H…I’m done on my T and W…as they can’t access the PH Patrol missions unless they complete the campaign, which, seems unlikely to happen! A first, for this old tortoise! 🤔 Class item - zero interest ❌ Campaign runs x3 - ❌❌ Clanky loves Grumpy issue - 🥱 The Way Forward - 😶 Like I mentioned before…this new direction for Destiny ain’t for the likes of an old tortoise - like me. I enjoyed the epic 12-man Finale mission…as it quietly closed the 10-year book for me. 👈 Anything thereafter was ‘extra time’ only… Ease springs! 🫡

Many players were so excited about the Raid and Excision that they were overlooking many of the game's flaws as they bum rushed the campaign and everything else to get Raid ready. Meanwhile I was taking my time getting through it all and playing the Pale Heart stuff. I felt the campaign was narrative heavy and while the cutscenes were amazing, the actual gameplay loop was boring and repetitive and not very engaging. There was way too much traversal and empty time(no combat) in each stage. The stage where you go up the Divide in the snow was one of the most boring stages I've played in any game. The final stage against the Witness was pretty good, good boss fight there. Pale Heart was pretty solid, but while going through getting fragments and Khovostov I realized that this was content that people would burn through easily in 2-3 days with any kind of engaged playtime. Meanwhile most were just paying attention to the raid race and Excision, and because Bungie gave them nostalgia cutscenes that made them emotional, they overlooked all of the problems. I knew as soon as that wore off and people realized we're in the same soulless season cycle, with "Episodes" being arguably worse and this seasonal activity being boring AF, that we'd be headed right back to basically where we were post Lightfall. They were doing so well with Coil and Onslaught last season that it's hard to believe we're back here with this boring activity and "Just gather samples" for the weekly story missions that you can complete in 20 minutes. I won't be surprised if we see the player numbers drop back down into the 40-50k range here in the next few weeks and we see a similar amount of drop off to what happened after Lightfall. Whoever designed Riven's Lair/Coil should be put in charge of making all seasonal activities going forward, and it was also a really stupid decision to sunset Pantheon. They should have left Onslaught in the form it was with the shiny grind still intact so people would still have content to engage with outside of the season activity, give Shax a new vendor track and let people have something else to farm. I get that the playlist is still in the game, but it's not the same. It baffles me how Bungie gets good feedback on things...yet somehow still manages to take two steps back with every decision.

9 RepliesEchoes is boring, it's just a waiting game for them to reveal the next Thanos Pathfinder is flat-out annoying. Game difficulty is also odd. I'm already sweating in PvP, I don't want to sweat in PVE. The GM 12 man says 2020 but everything is 2040, fighting endless waves of champions is not fun or hard, it's extremely boring. I'm shocked they didn't put a Countdown timer on the event.

6 RepliesHi, fairly new player here! I was a massive D1 player but literally never touched D2 until about 6 weeks ago. I can’t even begin to explain how amazing this game is. I’m having so much fun doing everything. You do realize this game takes inspiration from the MMO model, and sometimes things are a grind and “boring”. That’s just the nature of this kind of game. Being on this sub over the past few weeks I’ve learners you guys just want everything handed to you. Everyone is totally okay with the raids being super hard, but everything else is demanded to just be a nice frolic in the park. Y’all be trippin

8 RepliesEveryone is certainly entitled to their own opinions, but I like this raid a lot, and Dual Destiny is pretty cool and unique. Pale Heart is a huge improvement on Neomuna. Echos is mid for sure. Ritual Pathfinder sucks. Feels like we are losing out on bright dust opportunities and having Battlegrounds in the Strike Playlist is just awful.
