99 is too small destiny 1 didn't have a cap why add one in D2?
-
I don't even bother looking at Strange Coins anymore. Biggest joke there is.
-
Agreed, and at the very least Xur should always be present and just reset on Tuesdays. At this point, I am just playing game after game where I should be getting Strange Coins and during the week there is no way to spend them.
-
The paracausal weight of unlimited strange coins would cause Bungies potato servers to collapse. Plus it keeps us grinding.

7 RepliesNo cap should exist. I’m already having to delete prisms, golf balls, and whatever else to reset vendor ranks. 🤦🏻♂️ So what if have a pile of stuff others don’t. Doesn’t that mean I put in the time just to have that investment in my time completely disrespected?
-
1 ReplyJust another reason to play less. Pathfinder being the biggest reason. It should go cause it's trash. TRASHFINDER
-
1 ReplyThey don’t even go to postmaster anymore. Why bother with the Xur buff? Any coins on the floor are trashed when you hit the cap during the week.
-
2 RepliesAnd if you get any over the cap, they're just erased. Not even sent to Post; just straight deleted from the game world.
-
A 99 cap when you can only buy each of the things he offers only 1x is incredibly stupid
-
Or at the very least bring back something we can spend them on during the week days. I would have bought those bundles from the star horse.
-
7 RepliesNothing should be capped , if you farm GMs enough to have 100k Golf Balls, then so be it
-
I got attacked by fanboys when i said this.
-
Well given that getting the 'loyalty reward' on all three characters will cost you nearly one and a half times that, it does seem pretty stupid

Edited by loudenkl: 6/26/2024 5:59:24 PMI'll add that they shouldn't take up a slot in player's inventory.
-
Its there to make you grind.
-
Remove the cap or Xur is available all week.
-
I find the cap on everything a bit funny and out of place. Bungie wants to make this game very grind heavy all the way from weapon rolls to material farming to levelling up. Whichever path you take, you always end up with loads of extra material season after season or week after week. Putting a cap on anything just means 'wastage by design' as there is a rng on what you can actually spend your stuff on. Golf balls, maybe you don't have a good armour stat yet to masterwork so they stay. Maybe you haven't unlocked a new pattern yet so the ascendant alloys keep stacking. You haven't got the roll on your adept/normal weapon from nf so your double reward strange coin will get capped soon. No route to postmaster anymore like it used to be from dares of eternity playlist (1 step forward 3 step backwards 🤷♂️) Bungie logic always gets me.

Edited by PK_Haseo: 6/26/2024 5:55:19 PMAgree. “Xur” only stays on weekend & leave afterwards…this is problematic for ppl who grind.
-
1000% agree. There either shouldn't be a cap at all or the cap should be 999 instead of 99
-
to make the game more fun and increase the enjoyment of the player base obviously
-
Should be 500 or more tbh, encourage people to play more but not have to grind once they know what Xur is selling, but there should be a cap. Plus Xur has limited items to sell anyhow.

2 RepliesThis was already discussed at length. I believe the response pinned as "most helpful" was (paraphrasing) - Deal With It. Quick synopsis: *This isn't D1 *Xurr rank ups are very fast compared to other vendors = frequent prime engrams = fast rank up of 20 points already possible and would be able to touch 100 in one 10 minute sitting if we could carry 100s. *You can still cash your 99, go farm more & return to Xur. * Xur now carries Artifice Armor previously obtainable only via dungeons and Comp..... As well as previously VERY RARE MIDA catalyst.....once upon a time obtainable only via reaching the pinnacle of the Comp list (when it meant something).....and Sunshot which some players had to farm for weeks to obtain. Hope this was helpful. Maybe just make - do and be glad for the offerings?

1 ReplyEdited by amazinj2084: 6/27/2024 12:19:41 AMIf there was no cap, people would just farm strange coins to rank up xur so fast, it would be insane. But you can only hold 5 exotic ciphers, so there's no point in stock piling coins for that, unless you want to get certain weapon and armour rolls, or materials, from his inventory.

99 is too small destiny 1 didn't have a cap why add one in D2?
Why not leave an actual feedback post besides questionable complaint? Why not debate 150 or 200 cap? Pros/cons? They don't want Xur handing out cipher(s) like Halloween candy.
-
I mean, yeah. I forgot to re-up my xur favor of the nine over the weekend, and i'm already at 99 coins again.

2 RepliesWhy is this even an issue …
