We got 2 weeks of story only to be forced to wait 3 weeks for more. Why is this even a thing.

5 RepliesAt least the episodes don't disappear, and you can complete older episodes after the new ones open, unlike the previous mini-seasons model. For people that don't grind daily (me lately, not even up to level 50) and aren't finishing seasons on time, or entering the game late, episodes are a much needed change.

Notice how much longer the dialogue seems to be as well? To pad that play time?
Why is this even a thing.
Why do people expect anything to be different than it has been for quite some time now? Tbh, it is mindboggling how a lot of you have this hope that this developer will change and they have told you multiple times that it is not in their best interest. This applies to just about everything in the game. Padded playtime RNG Drop rates Duplicates The shop The loot system The loot pools Progression States The list is long, and It's a poorly designed system to waste a gamer's time spent in the game. I understand the frustration but all of you know what is to be expected before you buy any DLC from this developer, and every time a new expansion or any DLC is released posts like this always pop up about the same issues this game has had for a few years now. You get what you pay for, and this is exactly what you are paying for.

Post scriptum: is not a episode that is a season! And you know what? We have no more 4 season only 3! And the first one are soo BORING!
-
2 RepliesEnjoy that spike you had with Final Shape Bungie. Cause it's gonna nosedive just as quickly.
-
1 Reply3 weeks of story that felt like 10 min of actual narrative. The time between campaign and Raid feels so rushed. (I like the narrative micah's quest add), but then they streching content like sh*t. It's hard to call episodes content so far. Because it's 99% recycled.
-
Episodes Act one does not fill me with confidence that subsequent acts will be any better. 5/10.
-
2 weeks of story followed by two weeks of IB, no trials, and no new weapons. They're on rocks.
-
I said wayback that episodes are going to be dumb.
-
Bungienomics 💩
-
My only complaint is that the "cliff hanger" is the revelation someone (the voice) is behind the Vex actions. We already knew this from the marketing material - her silhouette is all over the art for the season. I think some bigger revelations would have at least kept people on the edge of their seats until Act II.
-
1 ReplyDont forget the season pass which has basically the same amount of good items, but twice as much filler items like glimmer and it's time gated.
-
2 RepliesYeah, only The Final Shape campaign itself was good. The post quests were too grindy, have to find a player, and repetitive for anyone who has a Life. This Episode stuff is a huge disappointment.
-
5 RepliesWhich is hilarious considering we were told Episodes would be different and better.. and then they double down on drip feed, uninspired content, matchmade episodic activity where players can sabatoge each others runs.. Play fetch between worlds to pad play time. Different.. sure.. if you mean leaning in to so much of what we have been saying for a long time needs to change.. better.. absolutely not. And now remember, we get 3 of these not 4 in a year.. so less content, worse content and we all paid more for it. Timeline on Sony taking over??? anyone???

6 RepliesI honestly am shocked by the surprise that people thought Episodes were going to be any better than seasons. When they first announced it, I mean, seriously, I feel like the rare player who thought these were just seasons spread out over the same timeframe of a year except they play out over 4 months instead of 3. On top of that, they needed to shoot their load on TFS and wouldn't have had the time to do major things with them other than adding cutscenes (which they also said would happen). Honestly, people should know Bungie by now.
-
It’s just all the same stuff the community complained about with the seasonal model, but it has a fancy new title.
-
Their first "episode" format and they've already screwed it up. The episode is titled echos (keep that plural in mind) and three echos were released from the traveller. Logic dictates each one of the three acts should be about each echo. YET we didn't even finish discovering what happened with the first echo. Talk about a great example of what the next year is gonna look like.
-
Phew. I figured starting the Episode would be like starting a whole new saga for Destiny. I have access to it. However, I will not be touching it. I have no intention of playing another decade of Destiny. Lol
-
It's scumgie you're talking about here. What did you honestly expect?
-
Division 2 players: first time?
-
Bungie doesn’t make much off the seasonal stuff like they do expansions. They got your money for TFS to fund other projects and now you’ll get minimal content and like it.
-
GO WOKE GO BROKE. bungie a bunch of -blam!- bags.
-
2 RepliesEpisodes somehow manage to be smaller content-wise than Seasons, yet we get fewer of them per year than we did Seasons. Is DSP running things "behind duh scenes" over at Bungie? I feel like this push for "pay me more for less content" has to be coming from somewhere. Hopefully they remember to turn the camera off.
-
Even if the next episode is okay, this first impression is truly abysmal.

Edited by MrBJovi: 6/26/2024 5:29:17 AMI have to admit that I'm pretty disappointed with the episodes/seasons side of things. Everything else has been really good.
-
8 Replies3 weeks* plus a campaign and weekly updates to seasonal activity. But yeah, episodes are just seasons with another name and a couple days more.
