Xbox series x overheating after update
Xbox Series X constantly overheating after update. After character selection screen fan kicks on and goes into overdrive for a minute then game crashes saying console overheated. Destiny is the only game producing this issue has only happened since new update. Game is unplayable now.

1 ReplyMine works like it should, I even have a pet that clogs up the exhaust on it from time to time. Have you tried cleaning it for dust? Get a can of compressed air, turn the Xbox off and blow it into all openings you find. Also, before that pick it up, turn it so the top with holes face down and lightly shake it to remove other types of particles that can have gotten inside. Same should be done with a playstation. Cleaning a console should be done at minimum every 6 months and it's even better if you do it more often than that

Not just Xbox either My PS5 suffers a similar issue, I can a majority of other games and my system will run fine without issues but Destiny for some reason will just crash my system due to overheating after playing for maybe 45min-1hr depending on what activities I do The crashes also got worse recently since TFS as prior to this I only really seemed to crash in duality or the hfend encounter Do hope they find some way to alleviate this issue, don’t really want to be trying to avoid Destiny during summer just cos it ups the chances of it happening
