Every major expansion this is a thing for weeks and weeks. Never any communication on it. You know people are experiencing it. Ruins PVP and PVE. Why can’t you just come up with a permanent fix?
Edit: I just discovered something that may make Bungie want to expedite a fix. While invisible, you cannot inspect eververse items. They just will not load. This is probably significantly hurting sales.

1 ReplyIt's alright. There is yet another four hour maintenance tomorrow. That's bound to fix it. Afterwards you wont be able to log in due to "throttling" because of "increased traffic" but once you get past that, good to go. In fact. Hang on. It's probably just to fix the surges in the Raids and Dungeons. Have to keep the content creators happy and they have been a bit annoyed at their Guardians getting all hurty in their favourite activities. Bungie are incredibly inept at fixing things in a game they built. Every expansion is the same, bugs bugs and more bugs.

Because its not eververse 😜

1 ReplyThe servitor public event on Nessus is broken again as well. All the old bugs coming back with this expansion.
-
It doesn’t help the player so it is gonna take months or years to fix as any bug that hurts the player does
-
Yet they fixed the red border glitch from pvp in less that 12 hours.

Edited by Big Kahuna: 6/25/2024 10:52:16 PMI'd it gave your two engrams, it would be fixed in hours

10 RepliesLike you said, this happens with every major expansion, so it's obviously all this new, unnecessary flamboyant content that always causes it. It happened with strand, stasis, and now this new prismatic -blam!-. Why didn't Bungie leave the game as it was originally, and concentrate on what players really wanted, such as better servers, a vastly improved PvP experience with new maps, new strikes and raids, more co op modes, the list goes on. Instead, they try to impress us by adding complicated supers and frustrating mechanics that not only make weapons less and less relevant, but also create technical problems that they cannot fix? All most of us want to do is log on, shoot some enemies, collect some decent loot and enjoy doing it. Sometimes just bells and whistles do not make a game a good one.

3 RepliesIt's a non issue. It's fixed by clearing your systems cache. Memory leaks are not an easy fix
-
7 RepliesAre you obtaining any kind of advantage from the bug, maybe having too much fun, how about the ability to clear an activity quickly, or are you able to obtain reverse items at a discounted price? If the answer is no to any of the above the game is working as intended and bungie sees no reason to take action 🤷🏻♂️.

It’s annoying. But the biggest problem I have it the scopes are also invisible. That’s what makes it suck.
-
They couldn’t see it

2 RepliesIssues with fixing it are likely down to what causes it. My current theory is that the game gets information for player location and actions separately to player visual attributes (armor and weapon skins). What's effectively happening is the game locally i.e. your console or PC is getting the information for where the players are and what they're doing, but not the visual attributes so it doesn't render anything. This is seen when sometimes in the tower you'll see the blue silhouette of your character and gold silhouette of the weapon on your back because the game hasn't rendered your character and weapon skin yet. At the beginning of a Crucible match, the game (locally) isn't getting the proper information to render other players. If this lack of information is caused by infrastructure latency outside of Bungie's servers i.e. not due to anything within their control, there isn't much they could do. They can't make the internet run better for everyone playing the game. That's up to every players individual ISPs and may explain why this bug is so persistent.

Edited by C-a-I-l-u-m: 6/24/2024 8:24:05 PMIt’s becoming a joke now
they don’t SEE the problem
22 RepliesBecause in the million + lines of code, there is nothing telling them what is the root cause. So the people responsible have to comb through the code, find the cause, understand the cause and any ramifications from fixing said code, create the patch, go through third party distributors to approve the patch for release, and then release it. I am not defending bungie…. Just saying what happens behind the scenes.

In the middle of gameplay suddenly the whole model dissapears, ADS doesn’t work anymore, it’s terrible and UNPLAYABLE! Just now it happened again, I insta close the game to not return until they fix it Getting so sick and tired of this nonsense. And when it happens in a weekend, you’re totally screwed if it happens in the middel of trials or a raid run. Out of nowhere: POOF all models… GONE!

I have developed a hunch back from the number of times I have had to bend down behind the TV to unplug the console. Fix it please.
-
After years and years of this issue I don't know why they haven't changed the non loaded im model to a grey scale default guardian.
-
and its NOT our connection 💥
-
Probably the usual stuff where hindering bug gets ignored until it affects player number. If it's beneficial to players it would be patched in the next minute
-
1 ReplyDidn't they fix an exploit that was giving away prisms and cores almost instantly earlier this week?
-
Because it’s a bug that doesn’t benefit the player, so it will never really be rushed to be fixed 🤷🏻♂️
-
They'll always blame us for their own issues and then maybe a few months from now we'll get a fix
-
It is annoying and a shame Bungie haven’t addressed this issue. This issue is more than likely the coding used in the 4th encounter of Salvation’s Edge Raid where guardian statues are spawning and trying to extrapolate every single guardians loadout. This is regardless of whether or not you are in the instance the coding is pulling your loadout data and refreshing it constantly. If this is actually the case it might be harder to fix. Again it sucks that Bungie haven’t at bare minimum acknowledged this. I’m sure everyone would be happier if they at least acknowledged that there is an issue.
