If you go into trials. Good Luck playing against these overly broken weapons.

8 RepliesRead Death is very strong but I don’t think it’s a huge problem. Khvostov on the other hand…. Such a miserable trials weekend. Been grinding out games for the pulse roll I want and all you see is the auto game after game. Doesn’t help the map is endless(-blam!- trials map btw) and there’s no angle you can peak and be outside of the optimal range of the gun.
-
26 RepliesAnd honestly who cares, they are good in pve… it’s a pve game after all
-
2 RepliesMostly Kvostov. Ease of use is almost criminal 😂

9 RepliesGod PvP players are the bane of this games existence

Red Death is not broken. You just have to out duel them. It preforms better in 3v3s where there is less of a chance of Team Shooting. It’s good for preparing to duel another person, and allows you to re enter a fight sooner rather than later. As for Khovostov, it might need some Tuning, but it’s not broken

Get wrecked
-
Put down the soy.
-
PSA: both guns do the exact same damage as every other weapon in their archetype. The only reason you think they're broken is because of their consistency and recoil.
-
3 RepliesKhvostov is definitely too strong, red death is the same as any other high impact pulse, only unique thing about it is cure.
-
2 RepliesActually the connectivity and lag is broken. No weapons actually work as intended on a consistent basis. 6v6 = rubber banding and teleporting with ghost bullets. I really feel for the Trials Enthusiasts trying to play a decent match. The servers are as bad as ever, if not worse. Best of luck yall!

Edited by moist: 6/24/2024 5:30:08 AMTry using a 600 auto, khvostov is really strong but the TTK on adaptive autos is just insane. I was playing trials while being below level and I was shredding people with a 2/5 summoner. I think bungie overtuned all the 600 autos,720s are very good too but adaptives are the sweet spot.
-
I'll get the -blam!- slapped outa me even if they're not using those weapons if I go into trials.

3 Replies"if you can't beat them, join them"

3 RepliesEdited by dead fighter 3: 6/23/2024 7:47:09 PMI think its more an archetype problem myself. Both weapons got put into high ttk archetypes. Red Death I could see the complaint since it also heals on kill and gets a damage boost when its already in an 2 bursts to kill archetype, as well as having absurd range which I see as an issue with another PvP popular exotic being Conditional Finality having absurd handling as well as the fact of a unique firing pattern similar to Acrius where its a hitscan deadzone, so it doesn't matter how many "pellets" hit as long as your in a certain deadzone it treats it as all pellets hitting at full damage. Khvostov? Nah thats just showing how overtuned 600 RPM autos have been for a long time now thanks to the Summoner meta. Khvostov only has the advantage of being a weapon thats easy to punish clumping up with

Edited by Smokey1322: 6/23/2024 1:15:08 PMIdk why this is a shocker to anyone. They(bungie) does this on purpose so people buy said dlc and/or season. They will nerf them once they get the sales they want. Same concept for the power level grind, that's why you get 8 Legs when you only need a class item, cause you'll keep playing to get it and keep player numbers up

3 RepliesDid just find last weekend beating out red deaths and khvostovs with bxr. Just new so people are gunna use them a ton right now. I will say the only thing annoying with khvostov is the constant sound of the ricochet bullets. Drowns everything else out
-
3 RepliesLiterally a very fair playing field as everybody is using them, the only time there is balance is when there are one or two op weapons
-
It’s not just OP, it’s an instant win condition. Even in quick play I haven’t been able to get above a 1.0 half the time because Khvostov just out-duels everything. On maps that are long range, it’s a pain in the -blam!-. On maps that are close to mid range, it’s a -blam!- nightmare. It’s a 600 auto, which are supposed to deal 27 to the head, but it (for some reason) deals 28? It’s like target lock immortal all over again, it just straight up reduces the amount of shots needed to get the optimal ttk.
-
Yet again, another broken meta from Bungie; who would have expected that??
-
2 RepliesIt’s fine

1 ReplyIt's not broken, it's new.
-
No, they are not. They are new, so you'll see lots of people using them. Those same players, will likely be beating you with other guns after the novelty wears off.
-
5 RepliesEdited by Scourged One: 6/23/2024 1:58:56 AMIt's (Khvostov) not OP at all. It can't out-duel a summoner, and doesn't really apply a ton of flinch when hit by it. It shines the most when you have 2 or 3 people running it, team-shooting. But then pretty much everything can melt under those circumstances. I haven't used Red Death in PvP, but I doubt it will out-perform a great Messenger or a crafted Piece of Mind. Cure is always going to be helpful tho.

Good. Let it stay that way. Tired of having weapons be ruined for the sake of pvp fanatics.

3 RepliesI was hoping nobody would openly mention Red Death so it could do work a lil longer. I got triple kills back to back once which basically translates to a team kill simply by taking cover and using a heal nade between those encounters. One clip each 3x kill. It did seem nuts, and I'm not some 2+kd type of dude. But a part of me feels like this is how Pulse Rifles should work under common sense conditions, but a nerf is def coming.

2 RepliesAs Syndrome said in "The Incredibles".... "When everyone's super, then no one will be"! Khvostov just came available dude. Give it a min. Or use it like everyone else.
