Pale heart pathfinder is for the pale heart. So if im going to the pale heart to do pale heart things i get some bonus pale heart related goals to complete during my time in the pale heart which is where i wanted to be Ritual pathfinder tells me what activities to play. I dont dislike any of the playlists. i dislike having my progress completely halted if i dont feel like playing a certain one tonight. Sometimes i just want to play crucible, do nightfalls or im having a lot of fun invading in gambit. Now it feels like im being punished for that. At least im making significantly less progress than i could be. If pathfinder gets tweaked a little it could be great. But it needs some work.

1 ReplyFor me it's the fact that on the playlist one, a third of the nodes are already not interesting because they are gambit, and then there are the pvp ones that require kills by ignition, jolt, suppression, and these tedious things... Also, you might be enjoying your strikes and then being hindered in progress by having to change from your enjoyable strikes to gambit or crucible in order to progress. It just is more of a hassle to navigate through the pathfinder for playlist than the pale heart one. Perhaps the solution is a pathfinder for each of the three playlists, so you'd have more paths available per activity.

1 ReplyThis is because the Pale Heart pathfinder is well constructed, simple, and gives the player a lot of agency on how to complete it. The ritual pathfinder undoes over a year of work that made ritual bounties easier and allowed players to play the way they want when it came to ritual playlists. The system is nonsensical: you should not be encouraged to hop from mode to mode when there are bonuses for staying in one mode which you lose for switching. There is no consistency either, some objectives will be incredibly easy and others will take a dozen runs to complete. I understand the idea is that the objectives become more difficult as you get further, but a few of these are just ridiculous to the point where you have to be an idiot who doesn’t value your own time to do some of these. Overall, the ritual pathfinder is a huge downgrade. While I appreciate not having to grab bounties, there needs to be a major balance pass on these objectives.

1 ReplyThe pale heart pathfinder is easy to complete, don't think I've finished a single playlist one so far.
