Locking Catalysts behind GMs is a terrible idea
The whole point of getting catalysts is to determine their viability in endgame content. This is the kind of backwards thinking Bungie needs to get rid of.

Not really. You should do the endgame before you have the top tier weapons. Once you earn them you can run it with gear that makes it easier.

Edited by BossCharacter: 6/23/2024 12:38:16 AMI’m a solo player and honestly, the GM Excision was not even that difficult as long as you have some sort of communication(literally all we did was do a quick gameplan via the chat about farming champs and just moving as a group and we cleared it with limited to no real issues) Biggest issue people have is the fact they don’t realize that the first 2 phases of the boss fight don’t matter so going all out on DPS is dumb but since you can essentially infinitely grind revive tokens all you really need to do is just make sure you have enough to keep enough people alive at the end to make a difference.

9 RepliesI genuinely think lightfall did a lot of damage because its insistence on making everything easy and handing everything out with no work has now become an expectation. People expect to log in, listen to an audio clip, and have it dropped in their inventory. You wouldn’t believe the grind we used to go through even to get ritual weapons. Mountain top and hush particularly come to mind haha

Bro. Just go click onto an in game fireteam finder post and try not to die too much. It's actually fun. You can farm revives from Champs and the third damage phase is infinite.

5 RepliesI made a fireteam finder, let anyone in, we had a bunch of new lights. Finished the 12 player GM first try with 11 players. Had a big cheer in chat at the end Stop whining, you are fine with 12 player matchmaking but somehow 3 extra clicks in Fireteam finder is. “Locking you out of content” Smelliest bs there is.

They are viable in endgame, but like all gear not essential outside of the hardest challenges - low mans and such. Therefore its fine to make them GM loot.

Xur is selling Mida and acrius catalysts! U don't know how hard those were to get back in the day. Mida dropped from competitive wins, Acrius was a very rare drop from hard mode raid
