Prismatic Titan - Complete PvE Breakdown

As a Titan main, it’s time to figure out what parts of Prismatic are good and which are not. Therefore, I’m breaking down each part of the Titan Kit and ranking the from A - F. This is primarily for PvE. Here we go. Supers Twilight Arsenal - A Easily the best new Titan ability and the clear winner out of the new supers in general. It’s powerful, it’s fun for the whole fireteam, it’s our first ranged one-shot super, and weakens on top of it. Excellent, no notes. Bladefury - B Consistent damage with suspend on demand is always a good combination. It benefits a couple a fragments directly granting Sever on finishers and Woven Mail on Orb pickup which are both good for those specific situations. If you need a roaming, major-killer, Bladefury is always a good choice. Glacial Quake - B This super I think probably benefitted the most from not only Prismatic but also the Stasis changes that were brought with Final Shape was Glacial Quake. The ice crystals absolutely crunch any oversized enemy and get bonus damage from a specific fragment. While it can still be aggravating for your fireteam if used on mob clear, the sheer amount of potential damage is impossible to ignore. Thundercrash - C With the dawn of Twilight Arsenal, it’s hard to justify Thundercrash on Prismatic. Running Cuirass feels like a waste especially when Twilight does basically the same damage without wasting an exotic slot. Not to mention that it offers amplified on orb pickup with the right fragment which is fairly mediocre. Still though, it can do decent burst damage and can bling enemies on finisher with the right fragment which is pretty good. Hammer of Sol - D Oof, this super is rough without Sol Invictus. Despite giving extra shrapnel on impact, it’s just not good enough for damage or utility especially since you only get six hammers start to finish. No healing, no extended time while in a Sunspot, no damage. Honestly the only things saving it from an F are granting restoration on orb pickup and range. Not good. Aspects Consecration - A The clear winner on the Titan kit is Consecration paired with Knockout and Frenzied Blade. It’s not complicated but it is strong as hell and fun to play with. Truly this is the cornerstone of the only real standout build of Prismatic Titan. Paired with Synthoceps or an exotic class item with melee enhancements, this ability lays waste to anything. Honestly, without Consecration there would be little reason to seriously consider Prismatic Titan over Solar or Strand. Knockout - A By nature of association with Consecration and Frenzied Blade, Knockout is excellent. Combined with the needed rework of how it attributes health back to you, this aspect is the winning combination of survivability and damage. The fact that it gives amplified in the season where the artifact allows amplified to grant DR is just the icing on the cake. Even without Consecration, Knockout is terrific. Drengrs Lash - B With enough synergy built into the class exotic where 4 separate abilities directly benefit barricades, the aspect that allows barricades to suspend is going to valuable. Not to mention the new exotic armor that launches rockets from class abilities. A good ability with a ton of potential synergy across the class. I also love how it has a new ability just for Thruster. Nice. Diamond Lance - C Honestly, before this season, I hated this aspect. It was annoying to use, it disrupted the flow of combat, and it didn’t even break Stasis crystals. With all the quality of life updates it received, now I have more of a lukewarm respect for it. It can freeze on command, it’s much easier to pickup, and it’s off of any ability final blow. Still though, it requires a pretty specific build with no help from the class exotic and it’s not overwhelmingly powerful even when it does work. Unbreakable - D Unfortunately, the new void aspect does not live up to the high standard of the new super. Essentially, you consume your grenade to become practically immobile for 4 seconds, block incoming frontal damage, gain an overshield, and then you do decent damage to anything directly in front of you. Without a dedicated build, it feels clumsy and awkward to use, the frontal blast has very limited range, and it would commonly erase red bars but barely scratch tougher opponents even after taking a lot of damage. I did combine it with a Ursa and Armamentarium class item which made it feel slightly better and granted super energy which was good. However, Armamentarium did not actually grant an extra grenade but just a longer total duration of holding the shield up which is useless and I hope is just a bug. Basically this is a decent safety net at the cost of both an aspect and a grenade and that is not worth it. Grenades Glacier Grenade - A Surprisingly excellent. It freezes, it blocks damage if needed, it explodes with big DPS, it practically fills the darkness transcendence meter by itself, it gives a Darkness debuff to enemies, and it gets boosted by fragments. My first choice when it comes to grenades. Shackle Grenade - B The old reliable shackle grenade is still putting in work. While it hasn’t really changed much, it still does its job admirably and combos nicely with Thunderclap. If you need suspend on demand, this’ll do it. Electrified Snare - B The special grenade for Titan Transcendence is good, primarily because it’s basically a Shackle grenade. It can clean up mobs fairly well but it barely tickles bosses. It’s not much more than a shackle grenade and having it not work with Unbreakable is a dumb but it can get you out of sticky situations with suspend. Pulse Grenade - B The only decent Light grenade that practically requires the fragment that gives it jolt but with that fragment it’s a solid choice for decent damage and add clear. Not much else to say really. Thermite Grenade - C I love Thermite grenades on Solar Titan but I didn’t really understand until now how much work Sol Invictus was putting in. It can still lock down corridors fairly well but against anything smart enough to strafe out of its way, it performs poorly. If your building to get ignitions you could do worse than this but other than that, not a great choice. Suppressor Grenade - F Low damage, an inconsistent suppression effect, poor range and an extended detonation time makes this easily the worst Titan grenade. It wasn’t good before and now it’s even worse on Prismatic with limited build options to make it work. The fact that every single grenade offered to Titans including this has a base cooldown of 2 minutes is also disappointing since that affects how much energy Grenade kickstart and other similar mods provide is real disappointing. There’s no good reason ever use this. Melee Frenzied Blade - A Clearly the best melee option for a variety of builds, Frenzied Blades innate three charges means three Consecrations. Even on its own, it’s quick, it does decent damage and it Severs all while Knockout is providing health, range and damage. A single charge returns on this faster than any of the other melees and the exotic Class item has 4 abilities dedicated to melee. The first choice by a long mile for most builds. Thunderclap - B The only serious contender to Frenzied Blade is Thunderclap which had some nice quality of life updates coming into Final Shape. While it still locks you in place for the extra charge up and damage, you get significant DR while doing it and you get rewarded with actually high damage. If you need Light damage for your build or just want something with a little more range, Thunderclap is an easy number 2. Shield Throw - C God, how I wanted this to be good! It received more damage and better tracking AFTER it bounces. This still means that it has ZERO tracking on the initial throw and since it moves so slowly through the air and it’-blam!- box is smaller than you think it is, it’s easily dodged by anything not licking your face. And then, when it does actually hit, it’s a crapshoot. Sometimes I’ll hit an enemy in a group and watch as it bounces through four enemies, killing all of them and getting me a huge overshield. Other times, I’ll hit that same group and it’ll ricochet into space, doing essentially nothing. Inconsistent with an aggravating lack of initial tracking that will sometimes, rarely actually do what you want it to. Hammer Strike - F This is the mandatory shoulder charge ability so that prismatic works with some exotics. It requires a running start, it can do okay damage to one target and will occasionally ignite them, and it can be used for mobility on a limited scale. It’s sort of like Frenzied Blade with one charge that requires a running start. It’s bad, don’t use it. In fact, outside of PvP and without Peregrine Greaves, all shoulder charge abilities are bad now. They used to provide reliable mobility but now that they’ve been nerfed in PvE because of PvP they are unreliable and bad. Shiver Strike - F There were buffs to this ability going into Final Shape. I genuinely think those buffs will help the Stasis class feel better. However, this ability is still dogwater, particularly if you have the choice of any other melee ability. It does aggressively track now making it much harder to whiff a punch which was a significant problem in the past but the damage and utility is not high enough to ever justify it over any other melee ability. Also, this will drain all energy of you miss unlike shoulder charges. Seriously bad.

Tldr; The best prismatic titan build is......... prismatic hunter, there done. Snare grenade is good and twilight arsenal great, just needs some tracking tuning. Everything else is dumpster fire level terrible. Almost nothing synergizes with anything else. What does synergies still sucks and extremely weak.
