Titan are worthless this season.
Damage is greatly outclassed by hunters, and their sustained combat power and firepower is below that of warlocks.
The only thing he can do is use Twilight Arsenal to make Relic appear and interfere with his allies' interacts.
Hunter is even taking away the grapple one-two punch that Titan lost and doing crazy damage.
How did this happen? The new exotics are nothing but toys, especially wishful ignorance, which is terrible and inferior to synthoceps because it doesn't buff the crucial super skill.
It may win in versatility, but honestly, it's a disappointment.
Exodus Rocket? Rocket launcher? Somewhat better, but worthless in front of Mr.Hunter's double golden gun...
I was really sad when they said they didn't need Titan in the raid.
But the saddest part was that it was so worthless that I couldn't argue with that.

14 RepliesOn purpose. They HATE Titans. They always have. ANYTIME Titan has become even serviceable they need them QUICKLY and “Old Yellow” them. Hunters on the other hand……just go look at the history and stats of how long the Hunter has been the go to.

Thundercrash is weak because after nerfs, if you want to wear the exotic class item, your Thundercrash will do 220k which is less then nova bomb base damage without the chest plate, even with the chest plate it does 450k but that's just the problem, titans biggest damage is tied to exotic pieces. So... in terms of prismatic, titans are very weak. Titans prismatic grenade is like nothing more then a firework display while Hunters prismatic grenade can take down a bubble. Hunters get there most powerful super in there prismatic. If you go to lfg, 9 times out of 10 people are asking for Hunters and warlocks. Just last night I saw one saying they want all Hunters for golden gun strat. This is because bungie doesn't balance, they just pander to the majority players and that's Hunters with almost half the playerbase.

4 RepliesWishful Ignorance Banner Titan is absolutely cracked right now. I wanna kiss the Bungie employee who made that right on the mouth. It totally makes up for hunters getting two, at best, mid exotics. The only thing that sucks is that Titans are good for exactly 4/5 of the new raid, and the one part they aren't good for is the climax which is just unfortunate.

Agreed we are basically support class for witness encounter in the raid. Still fun to use but bungie has nerfed titan into the floor

But their was a 1 year time span where hunters were genuinely useless in PvE and bringing one into a raid was arguably a bad idea. I s[b]h[/b]it you not and many of you may still remember this but LFG posts for over a year would consistently say "no hunters"... This was the era that the falling star exotic was introduced, star eaters did not exist & o yea they had just nerf'd golden guns damage. Even making the argument for tether had no leg to stand on because you could just put a titan on tractor cannon with double slugs+falling star. Not saying it makes it right but what goes around comes around.

But yeah titans and their prismatic is butt to say the least; I am not having a good time doing solo Legend Campaign on my titan. I might aswell use no exotic armor, or stick to bubble. Could’ve given us banner of war on Prismatic, but instead we get some useless aspects. In fact I might buy a campaign skip it’s so unenjoyable. The exotic rocket chest is really really good though I heard, but that’s 1 exotic armor. I’m just depressed thinking about having to use synthos again, boooooring.

1 ReplyThere is always that season for a subclass, stasis was hunters with shatter dive, titans was with 3.0 and strand, warlock was forsaken with titans using one eye. There is always a meta, never will there be balance.

Other than damage, titans still have good neutral game in Solar or strand. Prism hunter is nice but it does not provide team heals like banner of war does Solar Titan also used to be an ord factory with 3 heavy handed and roaring flames but idk if you can still do that

This is the repercussion of the last few years of nerfing melee titan exotics and skills. The only viable options I found that felt good were consecration and thunderclap (for prismatic) Also think thunderclap should be instant instead of the charge.. Obviously, we want to play the new stuff, right? Both of those feel sluggish, and if you can't get the kill, the cycle is over until it recharges. The new void super is probably the best thing I've used at the moment. This is all my personal thoughts, so understand that, please.

28 RepliesI outclassed a hunter using the fully loaded exodus rockets and grand overture last night, never seen a boss drop HP so fast, or at least not for a long long long time. It's not worthless if you know what you are doing and how to play, but I'm not going to argue about titans being weaker. Look at it from a rpg point of view, tanks (titans) are always weaker than dps (hunter) when it comes to damage, but in return they can take more hits and aren't as skillbased with their abilities and supers. Meaning hunters require a bit more skill to play than titans for aiming and hitting right with lots of their abilities and supers.

Play what you want to play. I like warlocks. I play warlock mainly. I won't apologize. Hunters are everywhere. Golden guns everywhere. It's kinda played out. Plus I like being an underdog. And I like having my exotic bond barely noticed. The other two exotic class items are fuggggly.

Wishful Ignorance is amazing though, as long as you’re using it with Banner of War. You get your melee charges back stupid fast, which also lets you use strength as a dump stat despite it being a melee build. Synthos are great obviously, but I really like Wishful. Simply because of the fact that you can almost use frenzied blade as a primary weapon with how much uptime you get

4 RepliesEdited by 12HT DIESEL GOAT: 6/17/2024 6:44:44 AMHunters are basically just a melee class now to if you didnt notice, combination blow, winters shroud, stylish is pretty much it, probably something else in amongst it but thats about it far as im concerned, good chunk of fragments are based around transcendence wich pretty much has zero benefit to the above combo or hunter in general, just gives us a grenade that you throw and hope it points somewere useful (rarely the case). The arc super we got is absolute trash in pve i wish we could swap it out for gathering storm cos its very clearly a pvp focused super.....again I hear titan transendence grenade is also a pain to use so i feel ya there, we in the same boat on that one. Warlocks bloody strong but i reckon the warlocks deserve it, they had all their unique stuff gutted from their subclasses to make light 3.0 Titan might not be top pick right now but remember that your coming off the back of being so busted with banner of war that you could solo a raid boss without fear of dying. Im sure as time goes on theyl tweak titan back up.... hunters will likely have combination blow replaced with disorienting blow for no reason and stompees will get another nerf also for no reason.

14 RepliesBro y'all have banner of war, which was THE most powerful ability in the game when it dropped; pretty much still is for survivability. Had insane DPS, if done right like 350k a second, on top of constant healing I don't want to hear Titans complain about hunters when we finally have the flavour of the season. Not to mention you guys had solar bonk Titan for years that was busted as well.
