So with all these new lights and a lot of bad experiences lately.
Here's some courtesy rules (don't hesitate to add in comments)
When doing team activities, the emphasis is on team play, as such:
1. A guardian falls, go back and resuscitate.
2. Way ahead of your team mates, don't banner and start the encounter without them.
3. We clear areas as a team, don't just go for the bosses, and leave your team mates the ads to clear in your wake.
When joining a Raid you have never done before, ask for advice on mods/loadouts, again it is about team play. You fall, we fail.
Come into a team, say hi...and don't lie about your achievements, we got Raid report ;)
Your team mates suck, why go out of your way and send a hate message, either help them through or find regular team mates and or a clan.
Just be courteous, patient and considerate, behind each gamer tag is a person.

1 ReplyI feel the same way. If you're in a matchmade activity or lfg group, play as a team (even if mics aren't being used it's possible.) It isn't a race. There's no extra points for being first. No one learns and gets better at stuff if they don't get to help or see where to go next. I'll add to the list with: Check to see if you're running with New Lights and help them figure it out. I still remember one of my first ever Strikes. I was in a fireteam w a new light friend. The 3rd came from matchmaking. We cleared a zone, the 3rd disappeared ahead, but the 2 of us couldn't figure out where to go next. Next thing I know, I'm getting shot. The 3rd had come back and was shooting us to help us see the exit. They slowed down then, and the rest of the strike felt like a team. That person made a huge impression on two new lights about the community we'd just joined. Last point to add: Pay it forward whenever you can, no matter who you're playing with.

4 RepliesIn the crucible arena tempers can flare egos can get bruised but never bag first (once bagged then it’s fair game)

Too bad that level 11 Guilded Conquerer doesn't care about courtesy rules and just wants to get it over with

Unfortunately, this post will likely fade (lack drama) but it is the internet after all. People love chaos. But as long as you are happy, making sure the players who play with you are happy. I think it is a good enough W.

1 ReplyEdited by ABADDON_WOLFFE: 6/17/2024 4:17:23 AMLove the post but... It's the destiny community youre talking about. ° Kicked out of the fireteam on last encounters ° Elitism gallore ° Rush guardians "speed runners" ° A big sprinke of Ra*ism ° The toxic "KWTD" guardians Hell! we're like 2 points away from becoming COD! 😂 I truly wished it was like your post but unfortunately this community will never do that.

You literally just noted down what every titan with a Chinese Gamertag does in strikes

1) Maybe 2) I agree 3) Maybe

Edited by Sunslinger: 6/17/2024 4:16:47 AMHonestly, anyone that has a problem with this post shouldn't be playing this game. It's multi-player and cooperative. They're anti-social losers being competetive in a cooperative gamemode. I love it when they run ahead and die. I just teabag their ghosts. I'll often die early on to see what type of guardians I'm playing with. If they clear out the whole encounter before reviving me, then their ghost is catchin -blam!- later for sure.

2 RepliesWith the current season activity, not rushing is even more important. Dumping radiolite gives tons more rewards than just clearing the activity. My last run, both teammates ran past the node and started the boss fight while I'm scouring the map trying to find the damn thing!

4 RepliesEdited by NerfPaladins06: 6/17/2024 3:09:18 AMRule 1: Realize that people aren't obligated to help you, slow down, or res you and refusal to do those things for you isn't toxicity.

2 RepliesThere are no rules. I match the rules of my team. I revive them once, if I die and they don’t revive then -blam!- them. They can get -blam!- on. Oh, you’re afking in the back? I’ll also afk, plus an extra 5 minutes after you decide to return. You don’t even try? Let me try even less. And I don’t commend randoms anymore till they commend first. Too many times I give out commendations and nothing in return. In fact I prefer playing with friends entirely. These scrubs don’t even know the game has a forum. Nor do they care. And why should I. Could be a 6 year old playing, or a 90 year old, either way; I notice right away if you’re a teamplayer or not, and if you’re not you’re in for a bad time with me ^^ you’ll learn the hard way that having a nice team is a good thing, in fact most of these semi afk bots leave the activity once I match their terrible gameplay, and I love that. I stopped being a fool a long time ago, rushing to revive whoever whenever. Gladly, about 80% of the randoms are decent teamplayers. The other 20% can go screw themselves.

Reading the comments below, perhaps the only solution is to take the 'Garden Commendations Ranking' more seriously. Perhaps it's time to add negative commendations?

You have said everything that should be always thought about b4 any player starts struggling I speak from experience 👍
