Can't open Khovostov chest

Hey there, you need to have earned the legendary version first and then upgrade it to the exotic version. To earn the legendary version, you need 15 key parts which will assemble into the complete key. 1 - Open all 9 region chests, 2 - Examine a pile of debris in all 6 cysts, 3 - Fast travel to the Impasse, backtrack into the Cosmodrome area and you'll soon come across the chest, which you can open with the new key. That gives the legendary version. Since you've already got the exotic mote, you can upgrade it straight away.
