Give me a reason to buy the final shape and future seasons, or what…..lol episodes. Please….
As a casual solo player I've been playing destiny 2 for quite a while. Didnt like d1, too much focus on clans and fire teams and multiplayer. in fact about a few weeks or months or so after buying d1, I returned the disc and got more than half my money back luckily…..,Tried the raid with friends and I hated it.
Same friends talked me into trying d2. I Loved the red war campaign, and everything after. Loved titan and Mars, tangled shore, gambit. I used to really like gambit or at least the idea of gambit. I found out destiny 2 was much more inclusive to players like me.
I understand this is a multiplayer game. But for the entire life of d2 you have never left solo players out. i liked running lost sectors to get my exotic armor. Solo, hell yeah. I can over level for harder content, hell yeah.
Im close to 50 years old. Been playing video games since m.u.ds, and if you don't know what a multi user dungeon is, please don't bother replying to this. I reiterate I know the difference between a solo fps and an MMOrpg,
Destiny 2 was much more than that. It let me play how I wanted. I knew I couldn't get the meta weapons if I couldn't keep up. I was fine with that. I'll never get Divinity, eyes of tomorrow or whatever. But I could always get the exotic armor. Every single piece. I liked lost sectors and even the public event on Neptune. I've already reset the Pathfinder twice. And that's without even trying.
I've missed a season or two but I was playing D2 religiously before any streamer or tuber came on the scene. What do I get? Besides toxic clowns trying to make me feel bad for wanting things. Why is it okay for you to -blam!- about pvp or something but if I say something all of the sudden I don't know what I am talking about. Been there, done that bought the T-shirt.

Will never be a sport. And I absolutely hate people that think a video game is worth watching on ESPN.
As title states, give me a reason to buy the final shape. I don't necessarily have to have the new exotics that you gave everyone the impression that they could acquire. But you're going to have to give me something. Because until then I've decided I'll stick with f2p garbage in this game or I'll pick borderlands back up maybe mass effect. Or maybe, just maybe Sony will make that decision for all of us.

I can't. It didn't answer anything new and for being the culmination or end of ten years of effort, it felt very phoned in. The raid is the best aspect.

I’m 42. My reason for continuing to play Destiny is simple: I like Destiny because the controls feel really great. Grew up playing Doom and Quake on PC and when Halo came out I switched to Xbox. Whatever happens or has happened or will happen I know all the way to my bones that the shooter experience Bungie creates is Top Notch. Everything else is just more content for me. I bought it cause it’s more.

Wish I could give you a reason but I cannot, long time player but i just don't see the point in playing all that's left is .Onslaught which Is new .Nightfalls upto legend but some of my freinds don't own all dlcs so not all nightfalls unless I do them solo or through mm .Seasonal stuff .Campaign .Dares of eternity if that's still in game .Gambit .Raids barely ever got chance to do them but bungie made the normals ones harder with -35% damage nerf so il prob get even less of a chance now lol .Dungeons even on normal are harder same 35% dps nerf now so il still be able to do them, enjoy them I doubt it .Gms rarely got to do them and never found them fun anyway just bullet sponges that dish out to much damage .exotic quests with timers are getting on my nerves 😒 .feeling like I have to watch a yt tutorial on Web to do any content that's worth doing since every lfg post is kwtd so you'll get booted for wrong loadouts ,simple human errors,not doing it fast enough etc . .dlc seems to be more in favor of sherpas ,carries ,sweatlords and streamers .nerfs to survivability because of the top% Made the game more tedious and less fun .class item sounds a ball ache to farm and requires mind numbing hours of playing the same shiz over an over .only way to truly succeed in this game requires haveing atleast 3 to 6 freinds that are addicted to the game ,play the same time as you ,speak the same language and are willing to spend a premium of 300$ to play the same content as eachother. Otherwise you are at the mercy of lfg which yes Ive had some chill people to play with but iv also had the not so chill peeps that leave if it's not a 2 phase etc lol Just wait till it's on sale and hopefully by then all sweats will have disappeared an then maybe bungie will allow the fun to come back and let us get over leveled etc so players are rewarded for there in game playtime

Why bother trying to convince you? We all know you aren't going to buy it and that nothing will change your mind. Why even make a post like this? Just go do something else sweetie. It's a better use of your time than writing diatribes on a video game forum looking for convincing on a thing you've made your mind up on.

Don't do it. I bought it and unfortunately in on PS so i can't refund. Same content with a bit of sparkle on top.

I let my preorder lapse, but a few days after release I said screw it and bought it. Nothing has really changed. I enjoyed knocking out most of the expansion stuff other than having to do it all times 3. I've done 3 seasonal activities and I'm already over it. I feel like I'm back at my old job again.

Mainly the main story campaign. From start to finish, is worth the time.

Activities like onslaught are also in the game and offer maybe the best loot for a fun activity. In regards to the class item. I am certain there will be an activity where this can be obtained that doesn’t require LFG or talking. My theory is the GM version of Excsion will be it and it will have matchmaking.
