Unable to have child send parental control request

Hello, I am trying to play Destiny 2 with my son. After spending $60 three times over again so we can all play, my son wasn't able to talk to us or hear us. After searching through reddit it was suggested that his age was not set up. After setting up his age there is now a parental control on his account. I scanned the QR code that shows in the character select screen under permissions, and once logged in it says "Parental Controls If you are a parent, ask your child to send you an invite so you can set up controls and permissions for them." This message shows up whether we sign in under my account or my son's account. I cannot find how to have this request sent anywhere!! Please help! We've spent a ton of money (PlayStation plus and three expansions) and we just want to play. How do we start the process if he can't send us a request?

  • Hi there, Thanks for reaching out! Child accounts can send the invite link to their responsible adult from here: https://www.bungie.net/permissions More information about the process can be found in our Date of Birth Requirements for Destiny 2 and Bungie Services guide below: https://help.bungie.net/hc/en-us/articles/24217906958868-Date-of-Birth-Requirements-for-Destiny-2-and-Bungie-Services

    • I have the same issue with my one son, my other son I could see the qr code. If you can still see the qr code on the game screen than log into your account on your phone, then go to take a picture with the cell phone before taking the picture click on the link. You will be brought to the site to set up the child account on your cell phone. Hope this helps. I know I am up the creek without a paddle with mine as they keep giving me the same message (Auto Response) instead of actually helping.

I have same problem with my child's account and bungie is useless. Many support tickets sent and same response each time. "We have a new parental control system, follow the instructions blah blah. They don't seem to understand their new system doesn't work.
