My name was changed again because of 'cross play' and now I cant change it back

Last year I had a pop up when opening the game that cross play was now enabled and my name had been reverted to the generic 'Guardian' followed by numbers. So I went onto bungie settings and changed it back with no issue. Today I had the exact same message 'cross play has been enabled so we changed your name' to the same generic name. Now because I had to revert my name last year it has used the one time use name change so I can't revert it back again. I cant find any way of changing it back again and would appreciate support on how to change it back for the second time?

    Hey there. When you see that message, it is slightly misleading. What happened was that your name got reported, manually reviewed by Bungie, and reset to a Guardian default. When that happens, you get that message in-game, it wasn't anything to do with crossplay specifically. It was definitely a deliberate action by Bungie, not a bug or some automated weirdness. If you've used both of your name changes and got reset to Guardian both times, then you are stuck with this default name until Bungie issues another name change.
