1 ReplyEdited by TheArtist: 6/13/2024 7:33:55 PMThat’s funny. Because my copy of the games says otherwise….and your “fatigue” at other people being frustrated that non-endgame loot was locked behind what is basically a two- man raid? Is a you-problem. If Bungie hadn’t advertised and pushed these class items in their effort to sell the expansion, then this wouldn’t be an issue. You don’t hear this kind of an uproar by solo players to get access to raid loot or dungeon loot. But no. Bungie wove these items into the game’s mechanics. Then advertised them. Creating a legitimate impression that they’d be accessible through normal game play. None of this is true. So solo players have every right to be angry…and the elitist finger wagging at players who don’t play the game the way that you do is getting tiresome. It’s precisely that kind of toxicity that many solo players have no interest in dealing with.

1 ReplyIn fairness, it is not a great multi-player game. The archaic LFG and minimal clan infrastructure is a far cry from true MMOs like WoW. I don’t know why, but I have never found it easy to find groups or clans that are actually active. The LFG forum is okay (sometimes), but given the increasingly complex mechanics of the game and obvious shift to multiplayer content you would think they would invest more in systems that make multiplayer more intuitive. Even the player interface is lacking in things like a roster menu to track things like player buffs/debuffs/health, etc.

2 RepliesThat’s what people don’t get, for the most part, Destiny 2 isn’t a solo player game. If you want to good stuff, you gotta team up with others to take down the darkness.
Destiny 2 is not a single player game
Not true. Both D1 and D2 were advertised as being playable as a solo player and as a co-op game. It's right there on the back cover of both games. That said, even if the mission mechanics need more than one player, there's no reason for not having matchmaking enabled to play it.

6 RepliesBungie never advertised a raid exotic as a selling point that I can remember. Up until this mission, all armor was obtainable from solo lost sectors (or straight rng before that.). This is a new situation that people didn’t expect. If they get their refund, great. If they get an alternative, great. I don’t care, it doesn’t affect me at all. I understand why people voice their complaints over this.

2 RepliesTo piggyback on this point: being a solo player isn't some chronic condition. Anyone can join or make a team & then they're not solo anymore.
