Exotic Class Items can't get solo
Not happy that as an exclusively "solo" player (I have my personal reasons for this) I have no way of obtaining these exotic class items. I completely understand not being able to get Raid or Dungeon loot as they are not match made and therefore not applicable for me but whoever thought barring this quest behind having to join LFG, connect to voice chat and complete another difficult quest with a stranger is fair... It's not.
I don't think it's too much to ask to make these class items obtainable via a solo friendly method as I have paid for them as well by buying the expansion. As I said, I'm fine with missing out on the raid loot but these class items were a big deal when advertised and I never thought they would be locked behind a mission like this. I'm really disappointed right now as I've loved TFS so far

3 RepliesLastly just go LFG. Get a mic and talk to someone unless you have an anxiety disorder. If you do they have meds for that. Pop one and talk. If it’s undiagnosed stage fright. Do what a drummer buddy of mine did everytime he performed live. He stuck a tampon up his butt for the duration of the show. His stage fright went away. So get a mic and talk you might make a in game buddy. Believe me I hate group chats and people in general. But to do activities in game you can’t go solo and get all the shiny stuff.

Being a "solo" player was your choice bud. No one except yourself is stopping you from finding ONE single person to do a what? 30+ minute (really fun/cool) mission with you. I'm sorry, but you are the one making these choices..

You haven’t paid for them. You paid for access to the dlc. The item is in game, it’s obtainable. You just aren’t willing to do what is needed to get it. I’m disappointed that people aren’t willing to jump on with a second person for just one hour, overcome your demons for such a small window of time…the world doesn’t bend to your desires…

I'm primarily a solo player and I'll pick a time eventually with the homies to get it one way or another but my problem is that bungie held back that critical info until after people had bought the game and that was scummy af in my opinion and was very clearly intentional

I see no problem making the exotic class item obtainable via different activities. Anything for a quiet life 😌

I believe that the reason that they were big during advertisements is because they are something unique, and can only be equipped on prismatic. The tough part to understand is that just because the DLC was paid for doesn’t mean that everything should be handed to players. If there is the acceptance of not obtaining raid gear despite those being paid for as well, then that same acceptance should be shared about the exotic class items.

If it makes any other solo players feel better, the items are really over hyped. I was really hoping it was like D1 and we could wear 2 exotic pieces. The mission was fun but I don’t see myself going back to lfg for my other 2 classes.

In fairness once you completel the mission you can farm the class item on patrol. I’ve gotta at least 8 playing alone. A little effort and you can acquire them in large quantities playing solo.

Truthfully it’s just gonna collect dust. If you account the loss of stats. If you have a legend piece that is better? I haven’t even tested it out yet and I got 2 exotic cloaks.

Well, it’s not a hard mission, edit your post and ask for a carry/help at the bottom, you’ll get replies in no time, get the mission over with and after that the class items can come from ANY chest in the Pale heart. I got 3 so far from random chests not even Overthrow chests. But there is a catch, you must be willing to ask for it.
