Never on any of the vidoc have you guys ever mentioned it to be a 2 person mission prior to yesterday’s reset and even marketed these exotic class items to be “farmable”.
You guys did so great for zero hour. But why fumble on this one?
Final edit:
Three of my characters done. Thanks to one kind soul that put up with me for all three of my characters.
My point still stands. Bungie, you could have been more straight forward with us on this and mentioned it is going to be a two person activity and people would have less complaints about it.

2 RepliesI agree with you 100% and ignore the lovely "positive welcoming inclusive destiny community" below in the comments yelling at you, screaming to LFG it or get gud, or saying its a Multiplayer game (neglects the fact solo players have played this game for 10 yrs, the entire campaign was solo, the missions after and exotics were solo AND the new Pale Heart patrol area was exclusively SOLO ONLY) yeah the comments last few days have proven why so many of us avoid the LFG and this "community"

I don't think you know what the term "misleading adverising" means.
-
5 RepliesThey don't need to tell anything to you, stop whining.
-
1. It's a secret mission, they never give out details of secret missions 2. It is farmable... saying it isn't is goofy
-
Sue them for false advertising. If what you say is correct then it should be a slam dunk
-
2 RepliesThey didn't mention it because its a secret mission. They did the same with the Whisper mission and Niobe labs years ago.
-
7 RepliesWhen in the vidoc did they say it's solo'able lol trash logic,
-
3 RepliesWhy would they advertise a secret mission, and why would they think that having a mission that requires use of multi-player would be bad in a MULTIPLAYER GAME
-
Note that they also never said anything about it being something you can solo. They talked about the class item but not how you'd earn it. Complaining that they never said one thing is silly when they also never said the opposite.
-
9 RepliesThey could have easily said something before launch, or even before worlds first, but no, they decided to be cute and secretive and shot themselves in the foot.
-
1 ReplyThey had no issue taking our money though and leaving that part out. SMFH

1 ReplyEdited by THE GRIND IS REAL: 6/13/2024 5:55:52 AMI think most of the point is it was one of the main selling points for final shape and shouldn't of been implemented the way it has been an almost locked out of reach for alot of players especially since every elitist and his grandma preaches for nerfs in the name of balance ,but balance goes out the window now since we have such things as pvp orientated content and build videos that cannot be replicated without those exotic pieces more or less the whole reason warmind mods /well mods were removed because players that didn't have certain mods couldn't do certain builds, and bungies doing it again Reason why some players blame streamers is because bungie keeps creating content that always ends up with players having to watch a tutorial on the web to do it efficiently without being booted ,accused of wasting time for not watching the vid because all posts in lfg are kwtd already and since we have toxic community members that will boot you at a chest if they don't believe you pulled your weight aswell community is right to be annoyed especially since bungie doesn't ban players for booting at the chest

Edited by Disposa6le Hero: 6/21/2024 6:07:30 AMThey didn't take disabled people into account when they made that mission.
-
2 RepliesDo you have to do it on each character to unlock them for that character?
-
Play the game, get rewards. I’m unsure the confusion.
-
I havent even attempted it yet, think I'm more miffed having to do the overthrow to unlock it again, will hold my judgement until I actually get round to attempting it, but yeah lfg is full of aholes and clans are just dyer lately
-
Bungie, i think the missions was amazing, one of your best ever.
-
3 RepliesAll exotic missions are “solo-able” as a challenge. Not for the solo players in mind. They were never catering to solo players ever. It’s a multiplayer game.
-
Why would they go out of their way to tell you that its a co op mission to get an exotic piece of armor? In a vidoc of all places? They don't tell you how to obtain any other exotics so why would this be different?
-
2 Replieswtf lol they don’t have to. They didn’t say you couldn’t get the heavy trace solo either. This has to be the most ridiculous post I’ve ever seen well along with every other one about it. You people are delusional sorry.

9 RepliesYou (meaning anyone) freely purchased a prouduct classed as mmo, with well documented ten year history....and agreed to TOS. These are the facts. Bungie has, and will take certain license freedom with its creation. There is no breach or mislead in terms. Whether or not any individual finds satisfaction in this is something else. Questions of Bungie motivation vary. For me, I appreciate the social aspect focus in this iteration. It's more than I could have expected....and has been a pleasant surprise. Examples: toughest Contest mode Raid to date immediately followed by well received epic campaign finale for the masses (while honoring player request for match made 12). Pale Heart space as stand alone unique offering where you can solo, fireteam, or match make. Exotic class item which is soloable to a point if you choose, followed by team of two requirement. In practice, a fair portion of Destiny content is not soloable for most players, although the option to do so has been historically available for the most part. Where would Dual fall even if a solo queue version were available?......that's a hypothetical for debate and no conclusive answer. A recent example would be Outbreak Perfected, which is reported by light.gg (just one readily available metric source) to have been discover by just 2.34% of guardians. Comparatively speaking......if a proposed Dual solo queue were to yield a similar 2% discover rate, there wouldn't be much of an argument to be found against implementing 2s in Dual..... In any matching instance, this would take into account various barriers (excapt skill level) including accessibility for individuals with certain impairments. The Beta in-game LFG is a good example, accounting for title options including greeting / goals. Tags including deaf, hard of hearing, color blind, visual impairment....and more. Languages. Mic/no Mic....etc. Yes, LFG exists for Dual. As an offering for 2s.....is it so wrong / difficult to view this as a positive? I view this as a gap bridging and/or alternate experience opportunity. 2s have been interesting in PvP lists....and you'll also find them solicited in the LFG for things other than Dual. This shouldn't be so much about complaints....which comprise most of the input on this board. At the end of the day this comes down to communication and relationship, just like the rest of life.....even if it is just for an hour or two with other players via _____ (fill in the blank) avenue. The real question is - where are you, as an individual, meeting Destiny? Sincerely, 10 year solo player

Edited by Oinkthebaconking: 6/13/2024 3:41:15 PMIt was a classic bait and switch. Bungie completely lacks any honor or honesty.

I mean, there is perk weighing on the most desirable exotic traits, similar to the brave weapons. I can't tell you have many duplicates I've gotten of trashy combos. Like wormhusk and galanor🥴. My buddies agree as well, we each have about 15 different ones and most have at least one trait in common across all of them. You're really not missing much, just a pointless grind
