Lies!
They've given almost everyone the middle finger at some point since the release. Did you see the streamers' faces sagging during the raid race. Some of them became happy again when they beat it but at other times it appeared that they were going seep onto the floor and become pools of jelly.
The raid race was one of the best things I've ever seen this game do. Now that was real.

Ummm…. What else is new? Bungie has been doing this since Destiny 1 year 1 to now. Which is why I don’t play anymore since my friend don’t play anymore.
While I appreciate the quality and effort put into the development of the final shape, the decisions Bungie has made regarding the pve story line and missions seems geared toward forcing players to use fireteams to get anything done.
Don't really know what you're talking about. Most my friends did the legendary campaign solo to experience it at their pace. Also the final Mission has matchmaking.
Through the use of mechanics, power capping and/or base difficulty level increases it is near on impossible for the new and casual solo player to grind for decent (let alone exotic) gear.
Exotic engrams drop from strikes, pvp and gambit. I don't know if you can even be underleveled in those.
When fireteam tinder was introduced I thought it was great but with these changes I feel that the average solo player will get kicked from most teams because they don't have a meta load out set up and the old dreaded not KWTD. Get kicked enough and you'll give up trying fireteam finder.
If the title says kwtd you have to accept it. The fireteam leader decides what kind of fireteam he's searching for. In case you don't find the right fireteam just open up your own.
And for those players who fall back on the old statement "just get good" some of us have full time jobs and a social life, I get out and touch the grass. I just want to play a fun game and not have content that I paid for restricted from access.
I haven't done the seasonal stuff yet but really the only thing where I understand that people just can't beat it is Salvations Edge. The mechanics are hard and the new -5 power makes no sense. Other than that everyone I now got through the rest. Even those that rarely even play D2 and only have some hours a week.
