Unfortunately people don't understand that some of us prefer solo play for one reason or the other. You're going to get beat up in the comments but like you I have played destiny solo for 10 years. It's just the way I have always played because that's how I have the most fun. Bungie screwed up royally with this. Borderline misleading in the advertisement. They could have mentioned it was going to be a 2 player activity because it would have changed a lot of people's minds on buying the expansion. Pretty slimy of bungie

What is really sad is the hatred one is greeted with when you dare suggest you’re a solo player who finds it extremely hard to complete this quest—I love the game and the new campaign is mind blowing—but I am a solo player due to social anxiety (playing in 3 person & 6 person activities are finally ok—but 2 is extremely hard for me since I don’t want to fail the other person)—so even though I am working on it —I can’t just “get over it”—plus I absolutely love the challenge of completing exotic quests solo—I can grow as a player without bothering someone else—

You paid to gain access to the game, not for the rights to have all things in the game given to you. Declaring that you're entitled to everything in the game because you paid for it is like buying Elden Ring and saying you're entitled to beat Malenia just because you own the game. That's not how it works. Further more, people who play solo, or don't play often, or aren't particularly skilled, or don't want to/cant use a mic, etc. are not entitled to be given god roll comp weapons, exotic armor, or god roll dungeon/raid weapons just because they want them. The reason highly coveted weapons and armor are tied to end game content is to make end game content worth doing. If nothing special was tied to those activities then interaction would plummet, and people who want to challenge themselves would see no reward for effort. Also, part of the game is solving puzzles using multiple people, so communication is occasionally a requirement. And while they can make the game accessible to things like disabilities, not at a sacrifice to the experience of 99.9% of other players. That is a net-loss for the overall experience for the vast majority of players. Finally, most of the solo players complaining about this stuff aren't doing master dungeons, solo GMs, raids, etc. anyways, they can't since they're solo. They're doing seasonal activities and strikes, where any build with any exotic and any weapon will work perfectly well to get the job done. Do they really need a special hard-to-acquire exotic that would let them kill 300 enemies in 10 minutes in an activity they'd normally beat in 15 minutes anyways? No. Slap on an arc hunter with liars handshake and a trinity ghoul. Congrats, you just beat all the stuff you play day to day. Xur sells that stuff every week. I'm disappointed on how this quest was. Rolling with 3 other randoms I found on discord, which I don't really do since I'm a solo player. With us doing 3 Overthrows and hunting down the Wizards, then to progress to the quest checkpoint to be [blam!] over by Bungie with two a player activity? Who thought this was a good idea at Bungie? Why does Bungie punish solo players? They preach in the game "fireteam this, fireteam that" A fireteam is 3 or more. NOT 2. This isn't Crimson Doubles. Bungie needs to get their head in the game and fix the fireteam count or just get rid of the timer, oh and the timer for that ridiculous Vex Encoded quest also, that's terrible.

You know what sucks also? You have to run it on each of your other characters as well to unlock the class item. Rip

It wouldn’t be so bad if they hadn’t made it seem as though these items were obtainable from a seasonal type of activity. Get everyone excited for these awesome looking class items so that they buy the expansion etc.

Go make some friends dude. Might find the game is so much more fun.

They should have done it the D1 way. This is stupidity on bungies behalf along with their over mechanic raid that barely any1 will go near. Bungo is one big puzzle in itself.

You start with 2 other people and then in the middle of this whole “adventure” you have to kick out 1 player as the 2nd part of the quest was made for 2 people only 😂😂😂 Fyi… kicking out someone in the middle of an activity is a -blam!- move bungo. Most solo players won’t be able to get this item once. Congrats Bungo for showing to all solo players a middle finger 🖕with this quest.

No one is stopping you from getting the item except yourself. You don't have to make a friend, just lfg a person for 30 mins to get it done.
