Greetings,
After extended play (e.g. multiple hours in contest for the Day 1), I am receiving the Marmot error code.
I have tried all recommended remedies from the Marmot help article, to no avail, plus some others:
Here are the things I've tried:
Uninstall / Reinstall
Cleared all files except packages and verified
Changed to two different sets of brand new RAM
Disabled XMP
Changed language from English to another, and then back to English
Chkdsk
sfc /scannow
Uninstalled Tarkov (about time) (which also used BattlEye)
Updated all drivers (GPU, chipset, etc.)
Other than normal/random crashes without Marmot, I was not experiencing this issue whatsoever before TFS, and I spent an unreasonable amount of time in game bounty prepping, etc. for the past few months, and I have no issues with other games.
I checked the health of my secondary SSD and it has no errors, and I didn't notice anything remarkable in the Event Viewer.
My next steps have been:
Uninstalling and reinstalling Steam
Switching the install path for D2 to my primary OS drive instead of my secondary gaming drive
When asked on install, ensuring that D2 has both access to Private and Public networks.
Which I will be testing tonight.
The most recent crash occurred last night in the Tower, and I noticed that the audio had started to cut out, and I couldn't see my heavy weapon anymore, or view shaders, etc. Also, if I view the install folder after a crash, it says that the file content size is 12GB instead of the normal 122GB, until I restart my computer.
Here's the error from the crash folder as well (I've removed the random alphanumeric codes):
halt:
RELEASE_VHALT
halt information:
resourcerer:load: Failed to load tag with path '<N/A>' and description '<N/A>' redacted (redacted) from package {{packages\w64_sr_environments_049d_1.pkg}} with error 'error unknown, {{!redacted!}}' install type {{!5!}}
fatal error detected
Any insight at all would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
