is khovostov still bugged?
Ive completed every step, i have all the motes, and every overthrow boss is dead. i tried killing some more after reset but the exotic mote still wont drop. i didnt see anything abt it on the patchnotes so i wanted to see if anyone knew.
Update: i have all collectible and have done 3 overthrow runs in each location (again) still brokey it seems

Still bugged I have ever done, all my characters have the legendary equipment and done multiple boss runs in all 3 locations, dropped my motes(16) in storage as 1 suggestion, still nothing… literally 1 mote of light away… literally check me history… got multiple swords BUT no mote of light !!! The gods of RNG have it for me… oh zing

Edited by Emurinus: 6/15/2024 4:17:01 PMI managed to get the mote from the meatball last night, although it wasn't the last boss I needed so I got a regular mote from it; killed the Tormentor in the Impasse for my last one, so the quest worked fine- on my end at least. Edit: Seriously? An ink filled writing utensil is a banned word? I can't even spell out ***ultimate?

Yeah, I picked mine up yesterday. Had done all the overthrows day one but I didn’t have the visions and then picked them up yesterday as well. I could complete it after that.

I got the mote from the meatball this morning. I still need to get the last vision of the travel by progressing the Micah 10 story.

Edited by MrFuzzy8uk: 6/13/2024 5:59:40 PMI got mine yesterday but still seeing others saying its bugged? , I was only at 8 of 17 motes and then when I saw it was fixed I did the rest, done the meatball solo and it dropped 1st time well not dropped it just popped up on my screen, I'm actually in love with the gun just the sound it makes with the bounces lol👍

4 RepliesI tried farming it yesterday for a long time period, didn't get it. I saw one dude telling me to have the legendary khvostov on my inventory, got it first try after equipping it, it was matchmade

I don't think it's broken, I think bungie intend for the exotic mote to be RNG in addition to the boss who drops it being RNG. I just got the exotic today, and I had to farm the boss 2 times before it dropped the exotic item.

I have killed all the bosses, some of them multiple times. I’ve got all the traveler’s got the legendary weapon however I’m still stuck on 16 motes. Guess I’ll never get the weapon. They should have just gave the motes from the triumph instead of making the boss drop it. If u don’t pick it up then it’s lost

Yeah. I myself have killed every boss multiple damn times dude. Forgot to have an open space after I was doing the Raid. Now I’ve killed the meatball about 3 times and nothing. Going to try 1 more time, then Khvostov will be an Exotic I’ll not be unlocking. Don’t even care for it. Wanted it originally but with bungies bs, we should just boycott the weapon altogether

4 RepliesEdited by Althanash: 6/12/2024 5:55:02 AMYou need 17 motes and all of the collectibles. Keep in mind repeated kills of the EXACT same boss won't contribute to your motes. Just for clarity - 9 regional chests - Different bosses in overthrow Tier 4. - Maxing out at 17 motes of light to obtain the exotic mote. (Also you need the legendary khvostov beforehand I think). As for clarity in relation to bosses. If you kill a Hunter lucent hive......you can't kill it again the mote won't count apparently. You CAN kill a Titan Lucent Hive though. In that particular rotation there is 1 of each. A Wizard, A Knight and and Acolyte. 1 Mote per kill.......so you'll need to do Tier 4 Overthrow Landing 3 times. (Don't leave the zone you might reset the rotation!) Same for the other Overthrows. One of each Boss type. I do have the Exotic Khvostov. If you're still having difficulty now. Start the Overthrow rotations from the ground up. Begin with The Landing - Do all 3 Bosses - Move onto The blooming - Do all bosses - Move onto Impasse - Do all bosses (I believe it's 3 per overthrow zone). All bosses you need come from Overthrow Tier 4. I did the above in order to be 100% sure I had every boss kill and it's mote. Any questions I'll try to answer.

3 RepliesIf you have all 17 motes if light you need to go put the traveler orbs in the left side of the tower with a flower garden the gest will spawn and you spent the exotic mote of light to open it.

I’m in the same situation, I can’t get the meatball to spawn(I guess he’s still disabled), it says I have it killed in my triumphs, idk…
