Just started the legendary campaign... it's aspirational. A message for everyone, but especially casual and new players....
There's almost zero benefit to completing the legendary campaign.
As I said, I just started... On Tuesday, I couldn't play. Played a bunch on Wednesday but not the campaign because my personal network was undergoing maintenance (though I only lost connection once) and I didn't want to risk a progression bug.
So what did I do? I ranked up and leveled. In 2 nights this is what I accomplished:

1950
Every new exotic armor piece unlocked.
I accidentally used one Banshee drop.
So, I have everything left for the week.
What I'm saying... it's going to be hard to finish all those drops as it is.
The Legendary Campaign is "aspirational"... you can achieve the same gains without doing it immediately.
I might actually switch to normal myself.
If you're new or casual, it's fine to skip Legendary for now... unlock everything, then do it. I think that's what I might do.
I'm not struggling, but it is spicy 😇 👍💠.
Here's the facts... there's plenty of drops that the 10 point boost doesn't matter, and unless you care about Guardian ranks, there's no reason to do Legendary at all.

Legend is really only bad in the 2nd phase of the final boss , because you have to put yourself at risk to get darkness protection , and those subjucators have op Stasis and Strand I soloed it with the old lorely God mode build, and still almost died Trying to get others through it has been a nightmare though , fing revive tokens -
3 RepliesI like the challenge, but after 15+ tries on the last mission I had to give up and switch over to normal. Going to give it another shot as soon as I get some exotic armor and better weapons

I agree. Legend is a headache, especially after a long shift at work. I usually kick back and enjoy normal, and then take my time and complete legend mode throughout the year.

Time to make an apology post and actually come clean about your lack of knowledge given all you do is act like you know everything and so far everything youve said is wrong.

With your highest level guardian sharing LL across your classes, you can do Legendary on one, and do normal with the rest and you’re good to go. Only thing you’re missing on Normal are exotics at this point

4 RepliesI feel for players who are adept at the game, and looking to maximize the power level climb, running legendary campaign is a necessity. Keeping power level under 1940 until you finish the campaign (deleting drops), preventing prime engrams to drop until they get the 1960 gear at the end, and then using all of the powerful drops they can while balancing the power level with base power drops as they climb... Getting the maximum gain for every powerful drop is the most important thing, then start running pinnacles at the end. However, for a more casual player, who is not endgame focused, take your time... run normal if you want and increase power level as you go. You should hit 1945+ by the end of the campaign naturally, and have a more pleasant experience. Legendary can be frustrating, especially if running in a full fireteam. I ran solo through it first, and was asked to join others to help, and the difference is pretty considerable. If anything, 2 players are probably the best way to run if players need help rather than a full fireteam of 3.

2 RepliesI wouldn't know, I can't start the second campaign mission. Interface doesn't allow me to pick anything besides the first mission on either legendary or normal. Got a refund immediately.
