I'm not here to debate my decision, just an attempt to inform Bungie that not only is their DLC broken to the point of unplayable, (I'm unable to start up the second campaing mission at legend difficulty, the option simply doesn't exist on the menu) but that I no longer want to spend money with this company for the following additional reasons.
1. This isn't fun. Period. Introduction of raid mechanics to the campaign is fine but NOT if you scale difficulty up for legendary missions with more than one person. Legendary campaigns are already off my list for being a frustrating pain in the -blam!- to complete. IF I ask for help from a friend it's even harder than before.
2. If I wanted raid mechanics in an already difficult campaign, I'd already be doing raids. No thank you. I don't want to do raids. The rewards are ABSOLUTELY NOT WORTH THE TIME, EFFORT AND FRUSTRATION. I'm not spending 8 hours on a raid again, only to never complete it.
3. ON THAT NOTE: Since I no longer attempt raids, the raid mechanics to complete a campaign are frustrating, annoying, and down right a waste of my time. It would be different if there were instructions or markers. You've just raised the difficulty of the normal campaign to the point that I'm done. Especially since in game markers still don't consistently work. Theyve been an issue for the entire time ive played this game. Either thry dont show up for me, or consistently point me back the the location i just passed and do not progress.
4. None of the rewards are worth the amount of time required to complete the campaign. Especially since getting through them is not just a grind but simply frustrating.
I'm absolutely pissed that this dlc is so broken, cost $100 U.S. and isn't enjoyable. Not to mention between the servers being broken, day one disconnects, and assorted other bugs and problems it took me nearly 2 hours to complete the first campaign mission on NORMAL difficulty. If any of this had at any point been fun or enjoyable I'd be working on trying to complete the campaign right now, except I can't. Missions aren't available, and I shouldn't have to jump through hoops to get it to work after spending that kind of money.

You made the right choice.

1 ReplyMad cause bad

3 RepliesJesus H. This sounds like me when I start crying about having to work on a Saturday for no reason. If you take some time and learn how to play, it'll be rewarding. However, since you have returned it....I guess it won't.
-
1 ReplyBuddy quit day 3 and going to miss out on the dlc lmao what a drip
-
I would say take your time, there isn't any rush to clear a given area they thankfully didnt give you a wipe mechanic outside of the final mission. What is it that is broken for you is it navigating the rooms, are the surges not working with your weapons? It took a couple hrs to go through the campaign and the only difficult mission personally was the last one.

1 ReplyWhen I say it took me less than a minute to figure out basically every single mechanic in the campaign, made easier by the fact that a lot of them are repeated throughout said campaign, that should say something. I get that it makes the campaign harder, and you're entitled to holding your opinion on that. But this is at the level of people complaining about the corrupted because they couldn't figure out how to pass a ball to their teammates. I thought the campaign was a lot of fun. Probably the most fun out of all of them, actually, and those puzzles were a part of it. If having them in there gives us campaigns that fun more often, then I'd rather not that the campaign be dragged down to the lowest common denominator.

1 ReplyIt really just seems like this isn't your kind of game and you should just be playing more forgiving shooters. I'm not trying to sound mean or be toxic. Destiny 2 has been this way since Witch Queens campaign where they marketed the campaign as having Dungeon mechanics to make it more engaging because the game was getting stale and too predictable.

1 ReplyI have had no issues, the campaign is pretty easy on legend just somewhat unforgiving but it was a lot of fun, also I’ve had no problem starting up any mission and I’ve been really loving it,for once I think bungie really delivered.
-
1 ReplyCringe. If you aren’t good enough to play on legend, lower the difficulty. I’m not good enough to play in the nba, so I don’t. It’s just a video game man. If it affects your emotions that much I think that speaks to how small and fragile those emotions are. Grow a pair.
-
2 RepliesSo you’re ACTUALLY terrible at the game is what you’re saying? See ya.
-
2 RepliesYour decision. I happen to disagree.
-
I made it to the last section of the last legendary campaign mission and after I don’t know how many attempts I think I am done. The game is now made to watch not play. Guess they lured me back in for one final cash grab but never again not another dime
-
2 RepliesI love how your whole complaint is about “raid mechanics” yet they are nothing like they are in the raids. Maybe if you actually played the game you would know but lying for attention is a more popular thing to do.
-
Campaign will always say normal, then when you launch into the mission screen it has the option of legendary. Confused me at first
-
3 RepliesYou’re crying about the legendary campaign being too hard because you just have to remember what symbols drop? There are games designed for kids with more complicated mechanics
-
Cool story.
-
1 ReplyJust do the campaign on normal. I soloed it without a problem (except the server stability problems). It just requires you to pay attention while play so you can detect and figure out the mechanics.
The only fight that was difficult was the first fight against the Witness. But that was my fault. I forgot that the Aegis had a limited amount of time to use the shield, and I wasn’t managing it properly. Once I figured that out? Completed it first try after that.
Don't come back
-
“Difficult” Have you only played fps games on easy mode I assume
-
Brother legend campaign and the mechanics are not that hard. The raid mechanics they did take were dumbed down versions of already easy mechanics. Also nobody made you buy the deluxe edition of TFS that’s on you 😭
-
1 ReplyInteresting. Did you buy it again? Your gaming history shows you played the story today.
-
Campaign was pretty easy, even on legend. The combat itself was largely a joke outside of 2 fights. Was it a step up compared to lightfall and Destiny’s classic campaigns? Yep. Was it more complex than the highly celebrated Witch Queen Campaign? Nope. If it’s too hard or complex, do normal
-
When did people start taking video games so serious? lol
-
Sounds like this game isn't for you.
-
2 RepliesThis legendary campaign was a lot easier than lightfall
-
15 RepliesSome of the problems you mentioned are why a lot never bought TFS. I can't help but think how much better the game would have been if the devs who knew what they were doing were still around. The Halo devs that played their own game and with the community that cared about the work they were producing and you could easily see it through their work. Now it's the complete opposite. I knew better than expected anything different than what is taking place now. It's because this developer does not care about quality work and that is a huge problem in gaming these days.
