"Memory Vestige: Light" Consumable not dropping, Cannot complete Prismatic Fragments.
While clearing the "Searing Light" cyst, I obtained a "Memory: seclusions of light" and a stockpile of 10 consumables of the memory vestige light, and an additional vestige went to my postmaster. After consuming the seclusion of light, the vestiges in my inventory did not transform into another seclusion. I have deleted the vestiges in my inventory and postmaster assuming it was a glitch that could be resolved by gathering a fresh set of 5 vestiges. Trying to gather more vestiges has failed, no enemies within any cysts drop vestiges or are even shimmer as if they had one. I have tried going to orbit, restarting the game, and deleting both light and dark memory vestiges. Any help would be appreciated, I'm on my last prismatic fragment, facet of dominance and would love to obtain it before the raid drops.

How is this still broken after all this time?

It's not a bug. You don't need to take the mission "Alone in the Dark" after you have done it six times. Dev wants us to finish cyst to cyst to get the drops. Just make sure you remove all Memory Vestige before farming them again. I did both possible fixes. Retake "Alone in The Dark" mission and explore cyst to cyst. Both work, but sometimes retaking "Alone in The Dark" mission didn't work, I guess because we need to explore cyst to cyst at least two times to get the drops. In my experience, at least you need to explore 2 different cysts and in the second cyst you will get the drops.

I found this thread last night, same ordeal. Same steps. Even changed characters and re-ran some of the lost in the dark just far enough to reach the cyst. No shiny enemies. Feeling locked out of the last fragment is getting to be a real bummer

not dropping for me either in searing cyst or sword. I have not gotten any ever, and ive done it with overthrow at the same area and not etc. need my facets cmon bungo.

Same here for me, the light vestiges aren't dropping at all.

I'm just going to share how it happened for me, because none of the "fixes" posted worked for me... and I'm just sharing, not claiming a fix. It came together so randomly. I too, hoarded light vestiges the first time i saw them, 17 (In "searing light"). After one chest I was unable to aquire anymore from farming searing light, and even moving on to arial ace dropped no more vestiges. By now I'm doing the tricks and have deleted all vestiges I had. When i went into Moth-Infested Cavern (cyst 4), they started dropping again. This time, as soon as the legendary item was created, I left the activity and went and unlocked the prismatic chest, athen went straight back to the uncompleted Moth-Infested Cavern, but NO MORE vestiges dropped. The last fragment I was not all that fussed over, so I took a break and just started farming Ergo Sums in Matchmade Overthrow. We beat the Tier 4 boss once, and the same random group waited for the 5 mins to do it all together again. At some point early in this second overthrow rotation, Vestiges started dropping for me, pretty rapidly. I wasn't myself killing anything more than acolytes in the landing. I don't know if one of the randos on my team wandered into a cyst during that instance (or if you even can)... Or if maybe my progression bug was tied to the "open overthrow chests" part of the quest that cleared after we opened enough.... but that's how i got the vestiges for last prismatic frag, randomly in a 2nd playthrough of Matchmade Overthrow.

1 ReplyI had the same issue but with a different cyst, now nothing will drop and ive done pretty much all the same things you've done as well to try and fix it. I made a post earlier about it but no response yet. I never had any go to my post master but did have extra in my inventory in addition to transformed memory (like your seclusions one) I am also on my last fragment as well so i'm hoping bungie notices this and fixes it, it appears some people on reddit are having the same issue but with no clear fix.
