Mote of Lights disappearing Bug
When getting the 17th Mote for the Exotic Khvostov there is a chance that all of the motes disappear instead of giving the Exotic Mote. There isn't any way to claim the exotic mote either so they are all just lost. I hope this gets fixed soon because I was looking forward to the weapon.

i just transferred mine to vault so i could get the primaordial not only does it still not say i killed the kaftics it took my motes from 16 to 11 is there any fix for this yet ?

Well for my case, I had the 16, but I did not do the boss. I just did the cyst of the seclusion, got the exotic mote, and I was not able to open the golden chest...

2 RepliesTry this: 1. Transfer ur MoLs to ur vault 2. Kill Servitor boss 3. Transfer ur MoLs bk to ur inventory 4. Kill Servitor boss again thats how i got it and i was 16/17 motes Note: u can try to transfer motes to ur vault then bk to ur char and kill the Servitor it might help, but anyway i tried the steps i mentioned and it did work first try. GL

5 RepliesHello bungie, I’ve been grinding non stop for hour on end for the legendary kovostov and sadly the exotic. I am aware you know the issue with the exotic where some motes aren’t spawning, disappearing or just not showing up in your inventory. I’ve done all 3 triumphs to kill all 3 major bosses in every zone, and got all of the tiny travelers. With all that I only have 15 motes of light? I’ve ran back through all of the major bosses just incase and have got nothing (basically a whole 5 hours wasted) if anything is able to be solved for example just give everyone the exotic mote light for the 3 triumphs completed may be reasonable. With that being said any info on this matter would be great. I really don’t want to have to spend more time than I already have on this overthrow stuff. Thank you

Why does the final mote of light has to be a drop? Can it be fused directly in our inventory? Please fix or enable all of us to get the gun. This is just ridiculous. We have spent hours trying to get it and having this bug at the last step is pretty annoying.

1 ReplySame thing happened to me. I dont understand why they decided to have it take your motes and turn it into a dropable engram. Why not just give us the key in our inventory when we hit the threshold of motes collected? At least keep the motes in your inventory until the engram is picked up. that way if the player doesnt pick up the engram for whatever reason you dont soft lock like everyone here.

I too have been robbed of the Khvostov... tried killing the Meatball again thinking it might somehow drop and nothing.

I am having the same problem too. This seems to happen even if you catch a boss other than the Servitor boss when there are 16. I'm having this problem with the Tormentor boss

ive gotten the meatball once and have been sitting at 16/17 everytime i do the blooming overthrow event now i get every boss besides the meatball. i hope they fix this soon i was excited to get that gone i used it for a while when i first started playing

I had been stuck at 16 motes due to this too. Had the meatball last because I hadnt seen the warning for it beforehand but had no mote drop but my 16 was still in my inventory.....until today it seems where they all vanished. The fact that they vanish isn't even the worst part but that they are all once per account. The overthrows can be reset to drop them again but the other 8 tmk are once per account so the only fix they really can do is to just give everyone who have the triumphs completed the full exotic mote. This is legitimately frustrating to put in all the world and be blocked at the very last step because the game goofed on it.

Same for me. Defeated all the 3 bosses for each zone and still locked at 14 motes of light without the esotic engram.

Hi is there a timeline or something for the fix? I never knew there was a bug and have been wasting so much time going back and forth because my triumphs are completed but I only have 16 motes of light… if it ain’t one thing it’s another with this game…

1 Replysame issue here, when I killed the meatball for my 17th I lost all my motes and got no exotic replacement. tried as people suggested and ran around everywhere in the instance against walls etc and still no luck. gave up after over 1h30m of searching. really hope I don't have to do all this again after a fix. truly don't understand why there isn't a system where this goes to the postmaster after leaving :(

Hi i have the problem that i have 15 motes, but acording to the achivements or however you want to call it i have already killed all the bosses for it so now i dont know where i have one left or if i am missing on 2 motes.

It's okay, they are working on a fix now. If we're lucky we might get it before the next expansion!

9 RepliesWORKED FOR ME: If you had the servitor in the Blooming as your final boss and lost all of your motes, try running against the inside of the wall of the boss arena. Me and my friend had this issue and were running around and found it. Facing the boss room it was the back right wall for us.

Same for me. Today I defeated all the bosses in the areas and also the memories. I have 15 motes and I don't get the exotic item or any other motes. Is Bungie serious?

Happened to me as well. Such a waste of time. After all that maintanance I was hoping to get a complete and functioning game. That I am suposed to wait untill Bungie fixes this problem is like waiting untill the sun raises in the west...

Same just happened to me, had 16, and killed a boss and they just vanished. Happend to me in the impasse, so now I can’t get the weapon. After 15 hours of grinding. I hope they fix this soon
