Pathfinder made to remove bright dust bounties

I am a PVP player only, and with the bounties I could complete four or five repeatable bounties every Crucible match. Pathfinder not only slows me down, but it also makes me play PVE activities, in which I have no interest whatsoever. Besides, with the Pathfinder in the future they can decide to increase the difficulty of the required activities at will, or, why not, require seasonal activities completion, to cut off those who don't have the Pass. What's to stop them from doing that?

2 RepliesBy bright dust bounties you mean the repeatable ones that were like 3,000 glimmer and only rewarded 10 bright dust? I never grinder those bounties since they seemed like a waste of time when I’m already good on bright dust. But to each their own. I think another reason they got rid of ritual playlist bounties was to slow down bounty hoarding. But it’s probably the bright dust thing and people complaining about bounties.

Yeah its god awful, you get 150 dust for completing it that's just pathetically bad like you could get the same amount of bright dust for doing 15 repeatable bounties before which took maybe at most 10 minutes to do

2 RepliesI really don't care about the dust, I mean I have almost 70k to spend, but I couldn't care any less about cosmetics. From an experience gains, leveling up point of view, the Pathfinder way of doing is not it.

Hopefully it helps everyone get why this is a loss. I probably take bright dust to seriously. -Witch queen gave us 12,500 with the season pass per season. So 50,000 a year -Lightfall lowered that to 10,500 with the pass per season. 42,000 for the year. -In the Final Shape episodes they increased the amount of bright dust to 14,000 per season with the season pass which keeps it at 42,000 per year. The "extra" bright dust in the season only serves to keep us even with lightfall due to the shift from quarterly seasons to triannual episodes. You could previously earn about 4,600 bright dust per character per season with the vendor challenges. So that would be a little over 56,000 per year. Im not familiar with the full pathfinder system but let's assume that pathfinder will continue to allow us to earn a similar amount. If not then we end up losing bright dust there as well. Either way we still end up losing a massive amount of bright dust. I would easily complete around a hundred bright dust bounties a week. So an extra 1,000 bright dust per week. Or around 52,000 a year. Thats just gone now...

2 Replies"remove bright dust bounties" Correct. Not bright dust or sources for bright dust, removing the ability to use memory cheats to dupe bright dust. The rest of the pursuits in ritual playlists remain independent of Pathfinder too.

4 RepliesBounties were never a serious source of bright dust. Only 10 bright dust for a 30-40 minute bounty? Pfffft. Not worth it unless you were trying to get over a finish line for a particular item. The real source of meaningful bright dust is seasonal challenges. Having said that, Pathfinder should be adjusted to give out the same amount of bright dust as the bounty system did. They have the average data available.
