Bungie, even after 10 years you still CANT get the Day of the Launch correct. There is always some error going on. I’m glad this game is ending, and hopefully Luke Smith gets fired, goodbye.

20 RepliesThanks for reporting. The team is already aware of this issue and is now being investigated.

The multiple different error codes is embarrassing for everyone there. They make all this money and have the same exact problem every time. The incompetence is mind blowing.
-
I bet when the servers come back people will still be able to use Cronus and XIM.

3 RepliesTo everyone who is acting as if they got scammed. Everyone who took the day off from work (lmao you chose gaming over money… man child). To everyone LITERALLY crying: They can only run simulations of what the stress to their servers will be like. Simulations compared to your millions of different iP’s and different countries, different internet providers, some people run vpn’s, all of that can’t be simulated to reflect reality because it’s based on guesses. I’m sympathetic because I’m having issues too but -blam!- put yourselves in their shoes. Would you want to help your player base if you looked in the comments and seen 80% of them hate you every chance they get? Fixing issues usually causes another issue. Fixing that issue creates a new issue. Adding a new item creates an issue with that item. YALL are asking for perfection but can’t even fathom a reason to stay calm. There human. Working with code that every time update is applied gets ™️Quirky™️. So until they get a stable build that addresses all the major issues (which are almost always unforesee-able because how do you test a million people playing together in house) we’ll keep getting error codes and you’ll keep getting returned to orbit while in activities. Would you rather them leave the problems alone? (People not getting prismatic is the MAIN problem right now). No. So remember the world doesn’t revolve around you. If you want a game that’s perfect on release or a dlc that is; Go play Elden Ring or any other game that has offline mode.

1 ReplyThey should push back day one raid to accommodate for players potentially losing an entire day to level up and become familiar with the new content.
-
8 Repliescry harder, i hope they ban like 50% of the posters in this chain
-
6 RepliesApparently in honor of pride month destiny 2 is going to be super gay right now
-
5 RepliesHonestly there is no valid excuse for bungie messing up these launches. It’s every dlc.
-
This -blam!- isn't even playable. instead of postponing and beefing if their servers they have just become the biggest failure in gaming history. It's greed collect all the money from the dlc use same -blam!- servers that have been throwing the same error messages b4 the hudge influx of playes they can investigate all they want its called buy more servers!!!
-
4 RepliesIs anyone really surprised that day one is unplayable? I'm not. The servers are just overloaded. Got into the game, had to play the first mission twice because it glitched out the first time, and tried for roughly an hour or so trying to get into a social space, but it just isn't happening today. I don't mind waiting a day or two for the novelty to wear off and be able to play. Maybe they will fix some stuff, maybe they won't.
-
Wooooooooooooooow totally missed the cutscene where we meet Cayde due to servers! Bravo Bungie! Lightfall had your highest player count and none of these issues. Guess you shouldn’t have done those layoffs
-
I know I shouldn't be surprised about not being able to log in and play a game I've paid $70 for. Bungie has never had a smooth Day 1 Launch, they have always had server issues. I thought maybe, just maybe with Sony putting so much money into the deal that the servers would be better. Nope all that Sony money got was the Execs getting a larger bank account and poor employees being laid off, although some of the money was ear marked for staff retention. Also no investment into servers to handle a Day 1 Launch and if there was it obviously wasn't anywhere near enough. I can't even get past the login screen boss as the ol "Contacting Destiny Servers" keeps coming up and doesnt stop. A guy can only see that for so long, 5 mins was the longest I waited and nothing at all.
-
We paid $100 just to look at the servers are throttled message.... this isnt a good first impression.
-
4 Replies2 hours now. Not a peep from Bungie in an hour. They had an additional 6 months to prepare for this launch. What was the point of the down servers the other day???
-
2 RepliesPre order it day 1 and im rewarded by server not available, every single year, sometimes i wonder why do i keep supporting them on each dlc to get treated like this.
-
You guys need to actively apologize to all these people that are waiting to get in this game. You gave them a date and a time that it would be active and it's not. If you guys can't deliver then maybe you guys shouldn't have done this and announced the date & time and a soft launch. You guys wonder why you're customer base gets pissed at you, this is a major reason. You guys don't seem to even care about the people that are trying to play this game and paid money for this DLC. I think you guys should be ashamed of yourself as a company and I think you guys need to reevaluate your leadership.

3 RepliesLogged on got into the game, got past choosing my character, the mid way through our ghost telling the story it’s boots me back to the title with an error code. I restarted everything and now I can’t even log on. If I don’t get to rewatch the cinematic then that’s absolute BS!
-
Is it possible to get an explanation from Bungie why these login issues exist? There are A LOT of upset people here, and just as much speculation regarding the root cause. Is it a server bandwidth issue? Is it some sort of programming thing? Tell us so we can understand…
-
2 RepliesI had to delete the paragraph I just wrote since I was finally let in. But, yeah, what the -blam!- was the point of a scheduled release?
-
1 ReplyBut if we were to launch into the game with whatever issues they still ironing out it's "another buggy release" right? Got no social lives whatsoever? No girl to talk to and confess to? No friends to talk to about whatever to pass the time? No book to read? No other way to pass your time? Just sit here and complain all day? Aight shut up now.
-
1 ReplyBungie I can’t even play past the first intro mission. This is not worth the $100 I paid for this piece of -blam!-! You need to give me like $40/50 dollars back and to everyone else you once again scammed out of their hard earned money. This is by far the worst experience I have ever had with bungie or any other game in my Life! You ripped us off once again now give us some money back to make up for this non-playable non-enjoyable crap you call a game. I also pre-ordered the game and got none of the pre-order items! Come on bungle wtf!?
-
2 RepliesIt's not ending though. The developers literally said just recently in an article that it's not the end. He said they have several things planned for D2
-
My money got stolen for a wallpaper bruh
-
Maybe if Bungie made their business ACTUALLY a business instead of rooms with massage tables and Starbucks wiping their nose after every turn, it might be successful! “MIGHT” is the key word! Of the 24 hrs it was supposed to be down, how many hrs were ACTUALLY WORKED? Hmmmm? THOUGHT SO! Luke Smith should’ve resigned LONG ago!

Edited by SlapYoMama: 6/4/2024 8:08:09 PMAyo Bungie when the dlc got leaked you should have just released it early and you wouldn't be in this mess. But you guys are run by incompetent aholes. Now look at ya. Some people paid $100 for this and are stuck on a waiting screen.
