I've submitted 2x contact forms attempting to appeal my named changed to Guardian. And both times I've been told that my request was "off-topic". I don't see how it could be seeing as there is no other place to submit. If someone could provide some information on what is supposed to happen it would be nice instead of just being told I'm wrong.

You can try a different name if you have not previously changed it. If the system is not allowing more changes, there is no way to override it.Unfortunately there are no appeals for name moderation actions. Names are moderated by Bungie Staff who have the final say on what names are can be used on their platform.

If your first appeal is the same as that one you spent most of it mentioning other names you've seen that were worse and then asked for the reason why yours was changed. Other peoples names would be reported in-game or via Bungie.net and the reason for your change wont be given to you, that pretty much makes most of your appeal off-topic. 'Others have worse' really isn't a valid appeal. Good chance that any variations of 'Panties, Kell of Cheeks' likely falls under this bit of the policy 'Depictions, references, or descriptions of graphic violence or explicit implicit -blam!- content.' just like how 'Mara Sovs Bottom' you mentioned in your appeal would as well. As it was Guardian'd, whoever force changed it deemed it broke CoC/Bungie Name policy and you wont be issued a token.

Edited by I_Mir_l: 6/1/2024 4:51:06 PMIf your name was changed then it went against the Bungie Code of Conduct and was changed to Guardian ####. There’s no appeal process for this so that would explain the “Off-Topic” reply. Appeals are mostly for appealing bans from the game (which Bungie has been doing in combo with the name changes in the past). You can also review the Bungie Name Guide to see the reasons for the name change as well.

1 ReplyName changes can't be appealed, so yes, those appeals were off-topic.
