The Final Shape – Leaked Content Update
Earlier today, a portion of Destiny 2: The Final Shape was accidentally pushed live on PS5's streaming service. There are currently spoilers being shared online.
A small group of players were able to play some of the campaign, access Collections, and other reward info coming in The Final Shape and Echoes.
We recommend being very careful on social media over the next few days to avoid spoilers. Remember to exercise caution and be critical of potential misinformation. Please be considerate of others and report leaks so players can experience the conclusion of the Light and Darkness saga themselves.
Thanks to all our community members who have already helped us by reporting leaks and those actively working to prevent more of the experience from being shared before its intended date.
It's always extremely difficult when our team's hard work is leaked early, but we are still excited for everyone to experience the full release on June 4 together.

8 RepliesI have just logged on my ps5 and got a 35 gig update version 1.121.000 is this legitimate because I can't find anything about it and worried its another error that will lock me out of game or corrupt act.

3 RepliesI'm always extremely critical of Bungie's stupid decisions, and I also don't like that streamers got early access. However, believing Bungie intentionally worked with Sony to perpetrate a "leak" to increase sales is downright ignorant. There would be nothing to gain. This leak won't increase sales. In fact, it may hurt sales because some people will believe those players may have an advantage in the World's First race. In the future though, you shouldn't invite streamers to get first access. That just makes you out to be liars because of the promise that everyone would have access at the same time. It doesn't matter that they weren't playing on their own accounts. They still got to test weapons and exotics that the rest of us haven't, so they know what they need and we don't.

My question is if it’s playable now, why can’t we just play it? Doesn’t make any sense to me as they’ve been pushing and pushing this dlc back just give it out if it’s ready to go. We’ve got a few days before it’s out and they can’t just be like surprise here’s the dlc a week early. That would get them some points from the community for a good surprise like that. I get there’s probably some issue with the other platforms following a strict adherence to that release date, but come on if it’s ready then it’s ready.

1 ReplyEdited by Redacted0625: 5/30/2024 9:33:59 PMthis was deliberate they just cant bring themselves to ever admit fault whether by bungie and sony or sony cause thing is if this doesn't go well the current board or whatever at bungie (allegedly) is gonna be looking for employment elsewhere (cause again allegedly sony can toss em out on their butts if they feel like it ) and sony needs this dlc to actually make enuff money to at least make bungie worth something to them and again sony prob looked at bungie's generally poorly received releases/practices and said yeah no its also y we got all those livestreams and reveals for the final shape cause the higher ups know its their -blam!- on the line this time it has nothing to do with "goodwill" or "the friends we made along the way" its soley about "hype" its why select streamers were allowed to play with it before it released tell us a bunch about it because bungie is aware of how their perceived in general so had the streamers/youtubers parrot this to us all the while these so called examples had to lie (allegedly) to their community about going on a vacation in which they just magickly went to bungo to gain a advantage its y i hope that even if final shape goes well sony gets rid of bungie leadership anyway

More fumbled release! Just like the last few expacs, the release gets botched, bugged real bad, players can't connect. It is always something with them. Who know what will happen on tuesday when the game goes live. I am predicting more crap to hit the fan.

One one hand, it's cool being able to see the beautiful Raid sets and weapons and whatnot that Bungie made for Final Shape. On the other, this seems liable to hurt sales and public opinion. I'm still super hyped though.
