Ranking my favorite destinations in D2 to Patrol

I will be including destinations that we’re sunset on this list. #1. Nessus - Nessus is my #1 favorite area to patrol. it’s colorful, has lots of flora, massive trees, and Vex architecture. It reminds me of Venus. I’ve always been fascinated by the Vex. Nessus still seems mysterious to me after all these years. As if there's some secret I'm missing. It’s very visually striking, so it's no surprise that even the top of the Bnet forum page (on desktop) features some Nessus concept art haha. #2. Europa - A destination with snow? SIGN ME UP. It’s not just the climate that puts this Winter Wonderland this high on my list, I think the Clovis Bray and Fallen City areas are super interesting. I also like the fact that sometimes a blizzard will occur, reducing the players visibility for a short time. I wish more destinations had similar dynamic weather conditions. #3. The Dreaming City - This destination has some really beautiful areas. When I patrol the Dreaming City, I usually go straight to the Gardens of Esila. This particular area has a good amount of enemies in it, and since it’s a “private zone” (idk what else to call it; meaning only you and your fireteam can enter it, and not random players) It’s nice and quiet. I also think this destination has really cool lore. #4. EDZ - Ah yes, the EDZ. It’s a classic destination. Did you know that the EDZ was a planned destination for Destiny 1? I honestly forget how big the EDZ is sometimes. Although there would be more to explore if Fallen shields weren’t blocking some areas. Still a nice place to Patrol in my opinion. #5. Titan - When D2 first launched, I was not a fan of this area. I thought it was too small and uninteresting. It was only after I started to explore the “Solarium” area did I actually start to patrol it more frequently. There is not much of the city you can explore due to some doors being blocked. Which is a common trend in patrol, and one I am not a fan of. Some parts of the Solarium kinda feels like you’re walking through an abandoned mall. Titan also gives me Resident Evil: Revelations vibes. #6. Cosmodrome - The Cosmodrome is probably one of my favorite places to patrol in Destiny 1. However In Destiny 2, Bungie kinda butchered it, in my opinion. First of all, the snow is gone. Which I think removes a lot of the character that it originally had in the first game. I do not like the way it looks now. It's all green/brown, I feel like the snow was a key part of this destination's color palette. BUT okay I can look past that…or I COULD if there weren't missing areas. The Rocket Yard, and The Blast areas are missing in Patrol. A few years ago they canceled their plans to expand the cosmodrome, so we won’t be seeing these areas anytime soon. I truly believe Bungie should NOT have brought the Cosmodrome back at all. But oh well. Even though it’s #6 on my list, I still go to the Skywatch very often, especially when I need to test a new weapon. The enemy density there is really good imo. lol. #7. Moon - This destination is a favorite of mine from D1, so it's rank on this list might be due to a bit of nostalgia. However, I think the additional areas Bungie added to the moon are nice. The deep, blood red-colored architecture is a nice touch. Overall a good destination in my opinion. #7 Echo Mesa, Io - While I’m not the biggest fan of this destination, I think some parts of it are cool, such as Asher Mir, and the Vex aspect of the destination. Also the fact that the Traveler was once at this Destination is cool. However I don’t think the color palette is very visually appealing. Not a lot I can say about Io, I’m not a big fan, it's decent. #8 The Tangled Shore - One thing I can say about the Tangled Shore is that…It’s very rocky. There's lots of rocks. Little rocks, big rocks, floating rocks. You want rocks? This place has got ‘em. Anyway, this place is cool. I did patrol it a bit but the only area that I think is really cool is the crashed dreadnaught ship. I think everything else is just alright. I think that's just the nature of the beast, it's an asteroid wasteland. So this area isn’t really supposed to look “pretty”. I still think its cool, it just wouldn't be my first choice when patrolling back then. #9 Hellas Basin, Mars. Oh boy, where do I begin, this area was a disappointment to me. Not very large, so not a lot to explore. There's some snow & ice, I think that's cool. #10. Neptune - I didn’t buy the Lightfall DLC so I never felt compelled to really patrol this destination. Although even with the small amount of patrolling I have on this destination, I can say I do not like most of it. I think the layout of the city is odd. I get that it's a futuristic city but I just think there's a lot going on, too much even. Too many colors, blegh! Some parts are nice though. I REALLY like exploring the Typhon Imperator area. That’s about it. #11. Savathun’s Throne World - Similarly, I didn’t buy the Witch Queen DLC so I never felt compelled to check out the Throne World, but I’ve been there a few times. However I don’t have enough patrol-experience on this destination to say much, so take this ranking with a grain of salt. It's got really cool architecture. Any area bigger than Mercury automatically gets put above it on this list. #12. The Lighthouse, Mercury - So this is it huh? This is the weakest patrol destination I have ever had the displeasure of Patrolling. I mean, I still patrolled on it but…yeah. Okay that’s my list. What does yours look like? What is your favorite destination? Whether it’s from D1 or D2. feel free to let me know, I’m curious about what you have to think! Best wishes - The Patroller
