Still Needing a Way to Spend Legendary Shards
I've been trying to spend them since the announcement of their retirement, but I can't stay below 35k. I was able to make progress back when we could buy ascendant stuff, but now I just can't spend them fast enough.
No, phantasmal fragments are not the option. I can't afford the inventory space nor do I wish to stand by the lecturn for an hour or more purchasing them one at a time. That is asinine. Rally banners are a little better, since I can spend 400 at a time, but again, I don't really have the inventory space. Glimmer is also nice to buy, but even with the cap doubled, it's still an tiny amount. I cap out immediately.
Literally everything else that uses legendary shards (that I can think of) also costs other resources that I do not have in abundance, such as masterworking gear.

4 RepliesBungie isn’t going to supply another resource just to convert shards And let’s be honest, if you have over 20k shards saved up you either never spent them or did the shard glitches to get that many As a true addict I can safely say the above; since Brave dropped I have gained a few thousand but only because everything drops so much and deleting all the regular brave weps. You can deny glitching all you want, I won’t believe it anyway

You may not like it, but that's pretty much your options, raid banners or phantasmal fragments. I mean phantasmals cost 10 shards and stack up to 999, so you can spend 9990 shards for a full stack and it only takes 1 or 2 minutes to spend 200-300 shards.

1 ReplyBest option I’ve found is buying armor from a destination vendor and dismantling it for banshee rep. You don’t get much but it goes fairly quickly if you have nine open slots in each armor type, fill them up, dismantle and repeat. Better than letting them deprecate I guess.

There isnt going to be a way, so just accept you will lose x amount of them when final shape comes.

The fact that you are gaining them as fast as you can spend them should alert you to how irrelevant they are. Mine have gone up a few thousand this season, I'm obviously not using them, so why stress about them.
