I think I figured out the difficulty problem for new players. Bungie just lets new players get right to max power without any work so these new players jump right into end game completely unprepared and then come here and complain the game is too hard.
Removing the leveling process was a huge mistake imo. It gives them zero time to learn what’s good etc and the basics of the game. Being able to just jump right into end game isn’t a good thing and Bungie thinks it is for whatever reason. A new player should not be able to boot the game up and jump right into Pantheon lol. You cannot do that in a single other mmo.

I think Bungie made it like that so new players could get to play end game content with their friends more quickly. I think the party levelling system that’s coming with TFS leans into that kind of thinking as well.
