Am I wrong to think this or is it as bad as people say it is? I just don't like to play sweaty content anymore. So I am thinking it's not for me.

On normal is ok, on legend is the clock plus the jump puzzles that will make you fail. The mission is a bit overtuned as pretty much every exotic mission.

1 ReplyI ran the mission once with a team of randoms. Even with 40 minutes it seemed like the activity took forever. I would not bother running it again. Prior to running the mission with the team I ran part of it solo to get a feel for the enemies and learn their damage types. I had no trouble with them because I run triple 100 builds with meta weapons and my power level is 1861. I suggest you run the mission solo initially so that you can get an idea of what it is like. Don't concern yourself with completion. Your purpose should be to gather information. If you decide the mission is not for you, then it is no big deal.

Mountaintop, Polaris Lance, Rocket. You may want to take along Riskrunner for arc sheilds, and Graviton for void and switch between Polaris, Riskrunner, and Graviton, but you can still get it done with just Polaris. IMO, the biggest problem is the fricking timer - you have to move quick and don’t make many mistakes. That timer isn’t very forgiving. Give it a try - if you don’t have Outbreak, it’s def worth doing to get it, and can absolutely be done solo.

The normal version is pretty easy with a team after you do it a few times. There really shouldn't be anyone that can't do it with a team. As long as one person knows where to go you should be fine and then you can just use Dragon's Breath on the boss at the end. Make sure to kill the servitors.

So I am thinking it's not for me.[/quote] Dragons breath is what got my team through the legend difficulty. The final boss not having a crit till u get 2/3 of his heal down makes dps almost impossible. Up till then run a heavy machine gun and use it for literally everything. The mission itself isn't to bad. Even the timer isn't terrible. It's just the final boss dps check that made it difficult. The jumping puzzle and everything else will get easier with practice.

4 RepliesDon't let the high pitched whining put you off. Give it a try, you got nothing but time to lose. Don't expect to finish it first time, use your first few attempts to learn the correct path and work out your strategy. Once you know what's what and where, you'll get it done easily enough.

1 ReplyI was able to solo the “normal” version after a few attempts, however after running legend for several hours with multiple really good fireteams I was never ever able to complete legend. Time always ran out at the final boss. I’m a really good tactical player always on top of the fireteams regarding kills but the problem with legend is there is hardly any forgiveness. That’s my problem with it. One or two mistakes mostly on the jumping parts and it greatly limits the team being able to complete. And if a fireteam member revives you on the outside jumping section or any narrow ledge you get dropped off the ledge!! That’s just lame trolling “difficulty” by bungie. It’s the increased health of enemies plus the timer limitations. Just give me 5 more minutes on the timer. Honestly I think that is all most of us need.

1 ReplyIts not as bad as people are saying, teaching runs should really only take 25-30ish mins unless someone cant move/jump properly. A hard carry without teaching is ~15 mins. Legend can be painful for players to navigate since they need to learn a new path from the jumpship area (right side vent) around to the fans that have exploders, while also having a 20 minute timer. Realistically its just practise the runs, watching guides, or look for a sherpa/carry. If you want a hand with it - I'll be on for a few hours.

Solo or with others, It's fun to run. It just takes multiple attempts if you or your team are not familiar with the path. If you expect to be successful on the first or even second attempt, you may be disappointed. Adjust expectations accordingly and you'll enjoy it.

First run of normal I got to the boss with like 4 minutes on the clock lol. Second run got there with around 11 minutes. Worked my way through the boss, the servitors, the walkers. As soon as the brig dropped with full health and a few minutes left (still 1/4th health on the main boss that disappeared) Stopped right there

I hope they make it more casual friendly

Edited by Northern: 5/17/2024 7:55:08 AMWatch some guides. Go in solo, learn the route, and practice the parkour sections. Once you're comfortable, grab a team and get it done. 👍

It's fine on normal, people just like to moan about shizz.

4 RepliesIt’s easy on Normal. I did it with just one other guy.

I ran it solo earlier for the first time, didn't finish. Got tripped up at Trevor and accidentally deactivated like three nodes before I realized what I was doing. Made it to the boss. My take, I'll probably get it next try. I think "normal mode" is a bit deceptive, makes you think it's going to be brainless. Also, sniper shanks suck.

It's not too bad once you work with the power level dash
