I can not stand destiny 2 and what they're doing This game literally gets more unplayable with each new update Stupid timed missions that you basically can never complete if you then make one tiny little mistake Repeating the same missions over and over and over again This game is dead Make this game enjoyable for the casual player again This game is not meant to be some ultra super sweatry hard game But that's clearly what it has become

1 ReplyStop confusing casual with bad.

2 RepliesEdited by Duke: 5/15/2024 6:04:57 PMI hear the servers for Hello Kitty Island Adventure are still up. Idk if the missions are timed, but might be more your speed.
-
2 Replies40min champ. Why are you sightseeing?
-
1 ReplyI havent tried the outbreak mission but the whisper mission is easily solo-able. Maybe zero hour is harder.

12 RepliesAs difficult as it may be to hear, Bungie is trying their best to make content suitable for players of all skill-levels. That doesn’t mean that every activity is going to be catered to all skill-levels; if they were; everything would be made incredibly easy. Conversely, this means that there will be activities geared toward casual players and other activities geared toward loyalists. Unfortunately, you’re just not going to be able to complete everything in the game if you don’t have the skill set or the time investment to do so.

This game has always attempted to be a challenging experience at the upper ends of endgame. We had a phase where Bungie attempted to pander to the ultra-casual audience - but that didn’t work out for them retaining these people and it started pushing veterans away. Sounds like you either need to get good or realize that this game may not be for you. This isn’t meant to be an insult. Not all games are meant for all people and not every person who attempts to play Destiny will be good at it. Some people just ain’t good at these types of games. And that’s ok. As a kid, no matter how much I practiced basketball I could never ball. But I found other hobbies that interested me that I found I was good at. You just gotta find what you’re good at, Champ.

Skill issue get better practice or don’t play instead of complaining.

Zero Hour now has a 40 minute timer. Plenty of time to practice. I remember the original with 20 minutes and it was a nightmare, but I wanted that gun so badly, I practiced as much as I could solo. Then finally joined a group and got it done. This is one of the most difficult missions I have done in D2, but it is doable especially with 40 minutes.
-
3 RepliesZero Hour without the timer would kind of take the fun out of it. The tension during the puzzles due to the timer is more than half of the difficulty. I didn't like the timer originally when I played it, but since it has been dormant and now return, I think it wouldnt have the same effect if there were no timer. Every second counts, and you have to practice the mission for efficiency in both the puzzle sections and in ad-clear/boss DPS. In order to succeed in the mission you need to be setup with a lot of versatility. I didnt know that they added the rally flag just before the boss, so I was holding onto ammo for much of the run to save enough for the boss room. I saw the rally point in a video after I finished my run, so I didnt even use it.

You're referring to zero hour?

Edited by Vapor: 5/15/2024 2:02:18 PMThis was made after failing multiple legend zero hour. 💀
-
The main reason this game is being a failure is becus bungie give up when people complain, but what these f2p people need to understand. destiny 1 was waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay harder when it came to end game stuff. now in d2 people basicly get loot like its candy.

8 RepliesI have thousands of hours in this game and think the game is utter garbage in some instances. Zero Hour though, as well as Whisper and whatever other timed missions there have been, are top tier content and I wish they were even more challenging as they used to be before. The timer is one of a few ways Bungie has found to increase the difficulty or at least the tension of content outside of raids, which are a larger time commitment and need more people, without just increasing damage and health of enemies. Since most of this content is jump-in-run, the gear requirements are minimal and it is easy to improve and track your progress with the timer. Low respawn timers make it possible to bruteforce add clear areas without highly optimized loadouts. Summarized: Skill issue.

1 ReplyIt’s 40 minutes man
I can not stand destiny 2 and what they're doing
Then why do you force yourself to play? I never really understood posts like this knowing you have been fully aware of what direction the game has been heading. These days the game is about showing numbers because that is all you are and ever will be to them knowing selling the TFS is all that is important to them at this point. So, all the stupid lazy mechanics, with their rigged RNG system will be applied to waste a player's time, and that's not including all the bugs glitches, or whatever issues that are a huge problem in this game that some are being ignored because it doesn't affect the developer. Why do you think they constantly change things in this game and have for years that they have never settled on creating a foundation to work off of? It's so they don't have to deal with the issues they face, but by doing that they end up causing new ones🤷♂️ The funny thing is a lot of the issues this developer cased could have been easily avoided if they played their own game to see what is actually going on, stopped pushing broken content out the door to make that quick buck, and spent more time wanting to make quality content.

It's been a joke for years. Game's cooked after TFS without a complete reset. Story included.
-
so you are mad cuz you can't complete zero hour? lol
-
Your Titan and Hunter are both not even 1800. You Warlock is the only one that’s leveled. That might be part of why you’re struggling? Not sure which version you ran, but I 2-manned Normal mode yesterday. Other than the boss being a slog, it was very doable. Probably one of the best exotic missions they ever made i.m.o.
-
I love how anytime they add someone remotely hard, you kids all cry that they never cater to casual players. I’m guessing you are getting paid to hate since there’s no way you choose to be bitter with your free time.
-
Been a joke for the last few years. Sad times.
-
Just skip it. I looked earlier, and I have 15 quests I’ll never do.Probably be 18 when they add the 3 intrinsic quests.

I completely agree with you about the Time mission thing. It drives me nuts when I’m forced to play absolute meta-loadout just to get a mission done instead of having fun, which is what I thought video games were all about? I understand people want to have a challenge, so give an extra reward if you can get done within the time limit, but don’t force people back to orbit. That’s just BS.
