You should try PC. It has got so bad. XIM/Cronus and hard cheaters everywhere.

I honestly don’t know if I’ve ever seen a cheater. I’ve seen lots of people lagging, I’ve seen lots more that are clearly better than me in PvP but no one I ever thought was clearly cheating. I did see some guy (playing a hunter) in the Artifact’s Edge patrol zone on Nessus literally flying back and forth between where the cabal pod thing lands and the upper level where some Vex spawn (that’s below the LZ). I dunno how they did that. 🤷‍♀️

I see it through out the day but heavily in the morning or when Trials is going or there is something new and shiny available.

Usually 5-8pm pacific around trials times on Friday-Monday. It’s not every match like some people say, but it’s decently frequent (every 3-5 matches you’ll have 1 that is doing something). On console. Most common ones I see are Xim/Chronus (people whipping around extremely fast and landing immediate repeated headshots out of nowhere. Controllers tend to have speed or precision not both, and the ones who do are fewer than the rate you tend to see this occur at) and good old fashioned Latency Manipulation. I’ve also seen it occur at a similar rate during Iron Banner at a similar timespan. (Which honestly always makes me smile bc in IB, really? lol) It gets more noticeable and worse as a season lulls. Everywhere is usually fine the first 2-3 weeks of a season, and then gets worse from there. Just my observations tho

Usually 1 every 3 comp matches, fair to say 25%-33% of comp players are cheating. Most probably Cronus

In 6v6: Alot are even with cheats are noobs, so hard to tell 😂😂 Very little time I am confident someone is 100% cheating.

I've played an unhealthy amount of PvP. I also have zero illusions where I am in the crowd at 1.95 (room for improvement) for the season and climbing ..... and loving the new sandbox. I respect the true PvP mountain top, and anyone that puts a legit play on me. Anyone in denial about the number of cheats is either flexing or uninformed / unobservant. To an extent, unobservant is understandable....especially against a more polished cheat and/or lack of time in the game. I've received 2 Bungie thank yous for reports in the recent past....which is an improvement over days gone by. What I encounter these days are Aimbots. Can't really claim a pattern, except leaning toward running in pairs. I was a bit in denial myself, until I had my eyes opened to how it is here-and-now. Back in the day it was common lag switchers but it's evolved far beyond that. And its not exclusive to Destiny. If you're getting mapped by an unkillable Battle Scar user.....see an indestructible pair going 92-0 with 90% headshors.....a team playing ring around the rosey avoiding engagements with a 15 point deficit suddenly become incapable of missing a shot and winning by 80......a level 4 with a garbage loadout dominating.....or a duo with one unlikable player at 37-2 & partner at .02 on the match - - something is wrong. Pay attention to the play. There are plenty of video recorded encounters out there for discovery. If streamer talk is your source (like many) there's plenty of talk on the subject. There ars some outstanding players out there. This isn't about them. Be careful who you report.

When I did play PVP more in D1, I can remember 1 time a guy was skating through walls and had a auto rocket launcher that never ran out of rockets, lol, but I didn't play enough to see it get worse...I've watched the videos of some crazy hacks, it has definitely gotten worse. You don't think a lot of these people were given everything and spoiled as kids, so they expect to win, and be given everything without working for it? Maybe the "real world" isn't as giving, so they take...

For some reason when ever I login I see that a Cheater was banned. Don't know if it is that they are mostly playing comp or trials. At least I do my part and it works.

I see a lot of very sus stuff but put it mostly down to lag / latency issues…even if I don’t actually believe it! 😵‍💫 There are some players that have obviously mastered the PvP dark side of space magic! 😈 Nah! Not for me…🤔 Ease springs! 🫡

Its definitely easier to tell sometimes more than others and you can see why better players see it more. With this game there's also a reason why players that don't do as well see it when they want to.
