No information on why an account is banned
Genuinely baffled about how my boyfriend got banned when we literally play together all the time. And Bungie only has automated replies, no actual information as to why. All those of hours of gaming, money spent on merch and games... and then to be banned without even a single clue why.
Can you be a bit more human, Bungie and at least let the people you ban know why?
We actually dedicated a big part of our lives to Destiny 2 and to be banned is absolutely heartbreaking. We have tried appealing but again, we don't even know why he has been banned so how to approach the appeal? Please help, Bungie. Been loyal to you for 5 years now. Please.

3 RepliesThat definitely sucks. Sadly I don't really have any helpful advice, but I hope your bf gets unbanned soon. I know I got suspended for two weeks on one occasion due to inconsistent internet connection or something like that... any chance that's the problem here?

It's a common rule in gaming not to give info on why someone was banned because that can be used to try and get around anti cheats. "Why was I banned?" "You used aim bot" (The cheat has infinite ammo, flight, invincibility, and aim bot) "Oh so it was the aimbot part that got caught!" (Updates the aimbot part to have it not get detected as easy) But if they don't then the cheat makers have to guess what was it that got them caught which means more wasted resources and time on trying to update their cheat softwares. It's a system that makes cheat makers have a much harder time but also has the downside of leaving people in the dark on why they got banned.

Why is people who get banned always post here? They don’t remove bans because sure of forum posts. Theres a process they go through so you have to be patient. Usually a ban comes from cheating or extremely toxic behavior.

Did he receive any suspension in the past few months ? What activities had he been playing most recently ? If he makes a new account can he access the game ? Unfortunately none of that can answer your question, but it might narrow it down.
