I have learned this from previous seasonal quests where you are presented with several options, which makes sense and certainly in hindsight, that otherwise you would simply receive them all at once and any overflow be sent to your postmaster. However your point is valid that Bungie should do a better job of explaining menus, which has always been something they have struggled with.

You made a silly assumption and now you have to deal with the consequences of that choice. Next time don't assume you're getting both and pick the one that you actually want.
