Warlock Nerf support group, Well nerf, Prismatic may be underwhelming

Everyone: Hi, Sarg.
So I have heard of the possible upcoming Well of Radience nerf, At this point I am just use to it. It's a nail and the Architects are a hammer. The thing most troubling is this new "Subclass". They want us to use devour and stasis to start. The problem with this is they did not change devour to to proc off of rebuff kills. They did this change with diamond Lance and stylish executioner. Then you look at the starting abilities and only Vortex grenade can kill 1 ad to start devour. Bleak watcher, pnumbralblast, coldsnap, and pocket singularity do not kill usually. This means we must get shatter kills to proc devour. The problem with this is its just another ad clear set up. As well it's something we can already build in game using osmiomancy, stasis turret build, with burried bloodline. Then they want us to have a hoard of buddies, but arc and void buddy are missing. Threading will also suck without the travel and damage fragment.
TLDR: Prismatic for warlocks seems underwhelming without the buffs needed to the supporting items.

1 ReplyEdited by BarStool: 5/6/2024 3:29:40 PMDevour is purely utility. It’s going to be able to proc off of any ability kill. That means Threadlings and Incinerator Snap. Imagine shutting down the entire Bettlefield with Cold Snaps and Stasis Turrets, while using incinerator snap to get the free ignitions, all the while using Pheonix Dive to dodge out of the way of enemy fire, heal, and collect the many, many orbs you will be spawning from all the melee kills. This is made more potent with class exotics, as even if you don’t get the initial ignition with Incenerator, you can pair it with Spirit of Calibans Hand to get more ignitions. You can also pair it with Felwinters to spread a 30% weaken affect, which will stack with devour, as both Melee and Finisher kills will proc Devour. In essence, devour will be easy, if not trivial to proc, and with the Grenade Regeneration, and the potency of some abilities, you will be destroying the battle. Osmiomancy Stasislock lacks kill power outside of Shatter, but shatter does too little damage. It’s very reliant on your Guns. Prismatic differs as it has both the Zone Control and the Kill Power.
