Pantheon isn't very good

Hello. I have 1500 full raid clears, 500 Sherpa runs, every available raid seal, a day 1 completion, low guardian runs on every raid, and flawless runs on most raids. Pantheon is kind of awful. It's not that the idea is bad, it's the execution. The time trial + the low light makes it inaccessible to most players who aren't like me. The problem with that is that most players are not like me. Which means, in order for me to get this done, and do the time trial, I have to gatekeep my fireteam, and I honestly dont like gatekeeping my fireteam. In a normal raid, I can handle a few people who don't have the best meta or the most experience. No big deal. Teach em, tell em where to find meta, etc. For Pantheon, it feels so elitist. I gotta tell clan mates and friends that they need the latest meta (or something close) since a couple of the damage checks can be rough without them (2 flooring caretaker and 2 phasing planets boss). I don't like that. I want to bring my more casual or less experienced friends in and help them have a good time. I'd be doing 3 of these a day if they were more accessible to people who's entire vocabulary doesn't consist of calling everybody "sh*tter". But, they don't want to because there's no reason to if you can't do time trials, and they don't have the very latest damage meta. And then, on top of that, the time trials don't make sense. You have enough time for 2 full Atraks damage phases, but you have to 2-floor caretaker to do it in time. Why? That doesn't really make sense. The additions aren't bad, like the minotaurs in golgy, but combined with everything else,this is an activity designed to be watched on twitch, not played by even half of your existing player base. This should've been done differently.

    Wasn't this meant for the best of the best in the first place. At least that's what I assumed when this was announced to start at -5 light level. I can't think of a single video game where a boss rush mode was easier to do without knowing the encounters and having a proper weapons. There is a post about passing the ball in corrupted strike every time it is a nightfall. At some point you have to exclude certain types of players until they learn. You're right that this is not something for half of the player base. You're right because 90% of the player base do not raid in the first place. I understand you do not like gate keeping, but i prefer it. The vast majority of this game content caters to the casual player. Nothing wrong with having something for the top players. If your less experienced friends do not want to do this unless they can beat the timer (get carried through the timer more accurately) then they are being very selfish. This game is build around griding gear. Maybe help your friends out to get their meta builds. Teach them how to play. Then they can jump in with you and have more fun. You do not need to carry them every time, you know. Just an idea. Remember that pantheon is not going anywhere and your friends have all the time in the world to catch up and even do the -20 version at some point in the future. From my experience, our clans first run was near flawless. We had no resets and cleared every encounter in one go. Then we started carrying 3 clan mates in our next 5 runs. This will no doubt turn in to carrying 1 person to zero people depending on how the -15 and -20 weeks go. But at the moment carrying 3 people through this week is possible. Edit: Since this boss rush mode was announced, we'd been running all the raids and practicing the encounters with our clan mates over and over again. This could help your friends and clanmates too. Edit: I was wrong. Patheon is a limited time event. We should do what we do best and complain until they decide to keep it in the game until the servers are shut down.
