Gunsmith has one quest per weapon type: Assault Rifle, Hand Cannon, Rocket Launcher, etc. Get so many defeats/Guardian defeats reward additional progress. Player can complete one of each per week. Completion rewards a token corresponding to the weapon type. Player can redeem a randomly rolled weapon from an already obtained weapon from Collections. These quests cost whatever Bungie decides appropriate.
Satisfies:
Players, first and foremost
Bungie's addiction to adding currency
Target farming, something Bungie seems to be warming up to
Limiting progression in a fair and not overpowered way
Bounty/quest grinding
I have maybe 5 posts on here. Comments will likely go unread. By Bungie, by trolls, by supporters, by anyone. But this is a solution. Fair. Easy. I'm not naïve enough to think anyone cares, and certainly not naïve enough to think the developers will act on this concept, nor do I believe I'm the first to imagine a system like this. Sounds fair enough. I’d cap it at 2 or 3 per week though, rather than one.
