Possibility to acquire a shader that’s not in my collections?

I’m sorry if this isn’t allowed or anything, but I was curious as to if there is a way to obtain the Honors of the Nine shader that I acquired all those years ago. I still have pieces with the shader on, and I was told all I’d have to do is pick up the items again for the collections to recognize that I have the shader, but that obviously did not work. Is there any possibility that it can get into my collections since I clearly have it on my account or am I outta luck? Thanks!

Hi there. Unfortunately no. For any shader to be recorded in Collections, it has to be acquired by itself, not applied to any gear. All shaders players had acquired prior to Collections being introduced needed them to be in their inventory or acquired again. Additionally, with the updates to shaders no longer being one-time consumables, year 1 shaders can no longer drop by dismantling something they've been applied to. It's possible Bungie could return them sometime in the future by another means, like Eververse, so the only option is to wait and see.
