I’ve been disappointed in many thing over the course of my 10 years history with playing, none come close to my disappointment with the shiny rng for brave weapons during this into the light event. The rng for these shiny variants is abysmally low, the lowest I’ve ever seen of any gear in the history of the game. To understand my point, in the last 2.5 weeks since the start of the event, I’ve got 4 shiny variants, not counting the ones from the gun quests. Only 4. Tonight I took a friend who is returning to destiny after a year away, through 50 waves on normal; he got 5 shIny’s in that single run, I got 0. I then did another 50 wave run on normal with matchmaking and guess how many I got that time? 0. None. Another example of how ridiculously low the shiny rng is, is that over the course of the event so far , during bouts of onslaught I’ve picked up at least 9 exotic engrams. Vs the 4 shiny brave weapons. I am more likely to get an exotic engram fall from an enemy during onslaught than I am to get a shiny variant brave weapon. In what dimension does this make any sense? The answer is 0. Zero sense. What the actual hell is going on here.
