Why don’t we have the ability to change weapons masterwork?

We should be able to change weapons masterwork. Keep the barrels, mags, and perks the way it is but masterwork should have the ability to be changed. Since the devs are struggling to give out vault space and crafting was supposed to help that, yet the small QoL that could help keeping our vault full and make farming more enjoyable isn’t there just because.

  • While a QOL change for us, it reduces Bungie’s main goal of perpetuating the grind.

  • To artificially extent the grind

  • Don’t be silly. We would need a gunsmith for that. Wait….

    • Amen. Getting a reload masterwork is just a waste imo.

      • Would be great, as some weapons have over 300+ variations. Make it cost an exotic cipher so it limits the number of times we can re-roll a weapon masterwork to once a week so it does not devalue the RNG process entirely as a compromise with Bungie.

      • You can solve vault buildup by deleting things.

      • You don’t need vault space If you do have a near maxed out vault it is at minimum half bad stuff you don’t need

      • It might break a few things possibly, depending on what you put on what. The game is bugged, let me explain, I once had a Survivor's Epitaph I got from Xur, it had an Impact Masterwork, yes usually something only found on I believe fusion rifles and yet I had it on a Hand Cannon bought from an in-game vendor. Impact Masterwork on a 180 HC brought it up from 78 Impact to 80 Impact, it doesn't seem like a lot but a 140 does 84 Impact, meaning I almost turned a 180 into almost the damage of the extinct 150 but while still being a 180 rpm archetype, I never tested the TTK to see if it made a difference but +2 Impact could change the TTK by a margin. I would put Impact Masterwork on every gun I use if it was changeable, except for Rockets and GLs, just to give a slight advantage to me over other players.
