Do you want “Destiny 3”?

Yes we all need a new game that we can all start fresh from. D2 is just too hard to get into rhythm with like what DLC are we at and what if someone new comes in and buys lightfall now? They just spent $150 (AUD) on a DLC that ends in 50 days how is that fair? I’ve had many people try to get into destiny 2 and they tell me they don’t know what DLC to buy because it’s not clear and I don’t want them to buy a bundle of DLCs with irrelevant content in it that has been sunsetted and they aren’t up to speed with other guardians so they feel like they are extremely far behind which turns them off the game, like I want to help them progress but I don’t want to slave at the stuff I’ve already slaved on it’s more of a inconvenience to buy Destiny 2 this late into a DLC even starting a new DLC is hard if you are new 🤷 if anyone disagrees feel free to reply but I honestly think bungie just need to make a D3 with DLCs that DO NOT DROP ANY CONTENT.

The only reason I'd like a D3 is so that they can abandon D2 and I wouldn't have to worry about anymore nerfs. Side Note: My main reason for leaving D1 behind is that I got used to the 60FPS in PvE on D2 and going back to D1 feels like I'm playing underwater. -

This game needs to be put down. Engine is outdated. Severs need to be updated. New game "if done right" (no more BS launch dlc should overdeliver). New game = more players maybe old players and current players.

No, because I don’t feel like doing everything all over again. Just name the game Destiny and keep it going, or end it and focusing on something totally different.

I do want more story in the Destiny universe, but I don’t want a brand new game where I start over character wise yet again.

Maybe. For me it depends on how final shape concludes. An all new game demands a big story pivot to the world itself IMO; Something that changes the rules and turns everything on its head.

So why would I want them to screw around again at my expense? So they can milk it with drip feed and overhype? Nah. Once the TFS and the episodes are done, I’m out

Only continue with a new saga. Dont dwell on the same story line. It will become dull like a soap meant for 50+ year old Karens -
It must be a completely new game not bringing back anything from the other games. Bungie keeps making obvious mistakes too. We have the Hall of Champions, no Vault or Postmaster? We're constantly receiving Loot every season, but only 600-700 vault space and you pretty much had/have to do 3 classes to collect certain items during Events. It's not enough space, yet Bungie refuses to acknowledge these small quality of life changes. Content Vault taking away paid content? I can't recommend this game to anyone for this reason. Bungie uses Fear of Missing Out to sell this game, plus the monetization with Eververse. Some exclusive Loot I'm ok with like the Bungie Foundation, Game2Give, or things you can buy at Bungie Store. Those are decisions we can make, but the current Shiny Brave Arsenal Weapons is not cool. They're gone for good when The Final Shape comes out in June. The imbalance between nerfs and buffs seems rampart. Osteo Striga got a nerf, and many of us laughed because not many players used it. It was more of a niche weapon. Now the crafting bug that effected Trials of Osiris with Ammit shooting like a laser, things such as that need to be fixed. The survivability nerfs seem unnecessary. Bungie let us slay!!!!

1 ReplyAsk me this six months ago and I would have said "No, while the shooting is tight, the story is convoluted and messy. Bungie needs to move on and simplify. Bring on Marathon!" But now that Marathon is a hero-shooter, I'll probably pass on that. So... Maybe Bungie will let Marathon influence D3 and make that a hero-shooter too! Give us Destiny where we're locked to certain characters with fixed ability sets, because that's what everyone wants! Right!?! RIGHT BUNGIE!?!

12 RepliesNope. Guardians were created to solve the Witness problem. For me, there is no story after that. Destiny fulfilled. The end. It would be like trying to force a John Wick 5.

I don't think the average player cares about the lore, a cool campaign and a new playable universe to get lot and kill stuff is what everyone cares about

Not really, I think the story needs to end. If it does get made it needs some kind of version of Unreal Engine and actual dedicated servers with selectable region. The old Halo-era Tiger engine needs a retirement. I don't game as much anymore, I don't even know if I will be there for FS, the game has become too long for me. I don't think we really needed Beyond Light or Lightfall. Beyond Light was just an intro to Stasis but the Eliksni story was pretty bland and was pretty much a copy of House of Wolves. Strand could have been dropped with Final Shape in all honesty, but Lightfall seemed like a filler-story that felt like a season story in how small it was. If there is ever a D3, either way, I'm out.

I think any future Destiny games should be single player/co op once and done story driven games. Think Borderlands, but in the Destiny universe.
