I'm wondering if Bungie has changed something recently in regards to allowances for fireteam voice chat in Destiny 2? I have an Xbox family account for my son, and fireteam chat has always worked for us, even in cross-play with Playstation and PC players. Recently, however, I can't get the speaker icon to appear beside his username. The problem isn't related to hardware, as I can log into my account on his xbox, using his headset, and it works fine. Likewise, when I tried his account on my xbox, with my headset, it still didn't work. We are able to chat via xbox party chat, but this doesn't help us, as many of our friends play on PS4/5, or PC. The problem must be related to his account being a "Family" account, but even after going through all the family settings and making sure everything is at the maximum "allowance", and changing his date of birth to make him appear 17, I still can't get his fireteam chat to work. I've also tried in the Destiny 2 audio settings, and social settings his profile, which are set to allow voice chat. Has Bungie recently disallowed "family account" users to access fireteam voice chat? This has worked for us for the past 2 years, and now I can't seem to sort it out. I made a family account for my daughter as well, and fireteam voice chat won't work on her profile either.
