Need better quitter protection or more consistent quitter protection. It takes longer than one round for someone to lag out from inactivity then the quitter protection gives.

3 RepliesBungie should try the CoD MW3 Ranked Play way- “match cancelled/cancelling due to unbalanced team”. I have fewer/ no complaints from that. Fewer points loss due to unbalanced matches, too. If players quit intentionally such as hitting the leave match option, harsh punishment is dealt to that player leaving the match. Although the first time is a bit more sentient. 2nd is severe point loss plus 15 (or was it 30?) minutes ban, 3rd is a 2 hours banned plus even more severe point loss. Lol, ouch.

1 ReplyThe new comp game modes are terrible I don’t blame ppl for leaving I’ve only ever had fun playing survival. KILLS DONT MATTER ANYMORE…..? it’s all about a stupid zone while they sit there and team shoot you the sec you show up on there radar. (This is not competitive) I’m honestly convinced that the PvP team are not PvP players they were only hired to change PvP, and got sucked in to the whole d1 nostalgia nonsense that they were blinded by infatuated expectations which only made things worse. (RIP PvP)

Or…. When someone quits, it pulls someone from the other team into a spectator mode to keep it even. That and matchmaker someone in after someone else quits. Until Bungie can balance a lobby then people will quit. Why waste time when the outcome is clear? It’s a video game.

Still a penalty, but definitely not as bad. Here's the list: Qutter protection penalty: activity suspension until the match would have naturally ended from time. Quitter protection would also have a bonus for those who choose to ride the storm. Losing a one-sided game (ex. 1V3) would reward you the same rewards as a victory. This is rewarded for being an example in the Crucible to all guardians. Never quit, no matter what! You'd also gain bonus rewards even if you lose. Winning adds an extra 100% extra XP for every missing teammate. Teammates have to be missing for longer than 1 minute to count towards the multiplier. Bad sport increases odds of getting matched with quitters and griefers. Bad sport lasts for 1 full week after a ban is lifted, and can compound if re-banned. 1st offense: Activity ban until the match would have naturally ended from time. Bad sport reputation +10%. 2nd offense: ban for 24 hours. Bad sport reputation +20%. 3rd offense: Ban for 7 days. Max bad sport reputation. 4th offense: Seasonal ban from all PVP activities. 5th offense: Permanent ban from all PVP activities. Offense levels reset after 3 months of no offenses after unban. These penalties would apply no matter how you end up disconnecting from the match. Sorry to those with legitimately poor internet connection.

The first few days of IB were amazing ….yep I couldn’t believe it either ! Both days were balanced games with close finishes and short load times. From Wednesday onwards back to long waits and every game was a mercy, so many people quitting constantly which just messes up the flow . Same people regularly quit ?!
